My home is good for couples, solo adventurers, business travelers, families (with kids), big groups, and furry friends (pets). Check out all our homes by searching online for "highpeaksrentals" (com) This luxurious log home sits on 5 private acres and provides wonderful views of the Sentinel Mountain Range. The amazing views can be enjoyed from the huge 1000 sq. foot deck as well as the master bedroom adjacent screen room or from inside the home on all three levels through the abundant glass. Bike, walk, hike and cross country ski on the surrounding country side. More extensive activities can be found in the surrounding High Peaks Region. We are only 4 miles from Whiteface Mountain Ski area so you can be on the slopes in minutes. Lake Placid and the Olympic Village are just a 15 mile ride where you can find many shops, restaurants, and activities. There are also plenty of wonderful local restaurants (Keene) and bars (AuSable Forks). Rivers, lakes, and streams can be found in every direction to enjoy boating, fishing, canoeing, or swimming. Back at the house there is plenty of room to relax with over 3800 sq. feet of living space. The multi-zone heated and individually air-conditioned cedar log home features a great room on the main floor with twenty eight foot high ceilings and a full glass front to let in the views. A fireplace with a large stone chimney creates a cozy atmosphere for all the guests. Adjacent to the great room is the dining room with plenty of seating, and a kitchen will all top of the line appliances. The kitchen is fully stocked with all the cookware and settings you need. Also located on the main floor is the master bedroom suite with a king size bed. The master bath has heated floors, his and hers sinks, a walk in shower, a bidet, and a European style heated towel rack. There is also a half bath on the main floor. Upstairs there are two bedrooms, both with king size beds and window day beds. The second floor also has a full bathroom with a whirlpool tub and a heated towel rack. Lastly, the loft area has a guest PC. On the lower level there are 3 bedrooms – 1st bedroom has a king bed, 2nd bedroom has 2 x Twin over Twin with Twin trundle bunks that can sleep 6, and the 3rd bedroom has a Twin over Full with Twin trundle bunk that can sleep 4! All bedrooms have huge glass windows to take in the views. There is also a very large rec room with plenty of entertainment options. The lower level also has 2 full bathrooms with walk-in showers. Additionally, there is a laundry room off the kitchen as well another one downstairs. For the little ones, we also provide a crib with a mattress, a high chair, and a pack 'n play. There is also a 3 car oversized parking garage. Further, the outside also features a BBQ on the deck as well as fire pit for those late starry nights. Lastly, there is a 7 person Hot Tub and 8 person Sauna situated over a heated patio under the stars! There is also a RV Hookup as well as an EV Charger! Finally, there is also an automatic whole-house backup generator on premises so that mother nature doesn't interfere with your stay! Minimum Stay Requirements: Winter months of December, January, February and March - 3 Night Weekend minimums and 2 Night Mid-Week minimums. MLK and Presidents Day are 4 night minimums. Some exceptions apply and shorter stays are sometimes possible, depending on availability, so please submit an inquiry. Late Spring months starting May 15th and through last weekend of June have 3 Night Weekend minimums. Memorial Day is a 4 night minimum. Summer months of July and August have 7 Night minimums, depending on the week and availability. Sunday to Sunday stays are preferred. The Grand Meadows Lodge is a beautiful property with every amenity you could ask for. The house is very spacious and clean with a ton of bedrooms and comfortable beds. The kitchen is very well stocked, which made cooking for a big group a breeze. It was great to have a gas bbq for grilling, a firepit for hanging out, and the hot tub + sauna were icing on the cake. This property is in a great location; about 25 minutes from Lake Placid and 20 minutes from many hiking trail heads. We stayed here for a hockey tournament at the Olympic Center. Gene and Gala are wonderful hosts, check in was simple, the rentals are loaded with amenities, the scenery is beautiful! We had a group of friends and family for a Whiteface / lake placid weekend. The host Gene was amazing, responsive, and we knew if we needed anything we had a local contact as well. Our group loved the sauna, hot tub, and ping pong table. The cabin is extremely homey and comfortable, equipped with games, surround sound speakers, and comfy beds. The cabin was about 10 minutes from the nearest grocery store Tops and about 20 to Lake Placid. Our group had no complaints and everyone wanted to come back and check out Genes other properties as well. Location to Whiteface and downtown Lake Placid. Beautiful, clean, comfortable home -- one of the very best we've stayed at thru vacation rentals. Amenities like hot tub, video games, streaming on well sized TVs, firewood upon arrival to get a firing going . . . even a bottle of wine! Comfortable beds, pillows and linens had this picky family sleeping soundly and comfortably. Kitchen well stocked and appointed with all we needed. So wonderful and a perfect winter family getaway. There were plenty of things to do at the cabin, boardgames, Xbox, hot tub, etc. the kitchen was great to cook in and there was plenty of space for everyone.
