The cottage is several hundred years old and has been renovated and offers excellent accommodation for up to four people. Situated on the square in the heart of the village, next to the large parish church and local school and 50 paces from the award winning Bell Inn which has a reputation for good food and quality beer. There is a general store closeby. During the current Covid-19 crisis we have introduced additional practices after each stay to ensure our guests are as safe as possible, including cleaning and disinfecting all high-touch surfaces and cleaning floors, walls, blinds, and other low-touch surfaces with hot water and detergent. We have also provided our guests with Antibacterial wipes for hand and surface use, Tissues and toilet rolls, Antibacterial cleaners and Hand wash We have another cottage in a nearby village which may interest you, it has recently been completely refurbished . Prospect Cottage has an open plan ground floor with kitchen, dining and sitting areas. Upstairs there is a master bedroom with ensuite shower room, second bedroom with twin beds and a bathroom. The cottage was spotlessly clean with everything we required, the welcome pack was much appreciated too. 50yds from the village pub which is highly recommended but be advised to book in advance for a table especially at weekends. Central to all the tourist spots and all within each reach, the scenery in this part of the country is breathtaking. would highly recommend staying at prospect cottage. ##### Ainsley R. We felt at home immediately, it has a cosy atmosphere with everything you need for a comfortable stay. The view looking out of the cottage onto the square is quite charming with the Church at the top the Bell Inn at the bottom and beautiful cottages in between. There is also a fantastic village farm shop, tea shoppe and post office just around the corner which can supply all your needs. We would definitely recommend a stay any month of the year in Prospect Cottage. ##### Caroline F. Warm, comfortable and cosy and just right for our short break to Devon. It is so well equipped decorated and furnished that we wanted for nothing. The village is charming with its pub and community shop and a short drive took us to many attractions including the coastal town of Instow. We had such a relaxing time, and were even lucky with the weather, given it was a November break . Our thanks go to the owners who clearly want their guests to have a comfortable stay. Chittlehampton is a lovely small town; the cottage is right on the main square between the church and the pub; and the house is charming, clean, comfortable, and has everything we needed for a week’s stay. Die Lage ist prima, der Ort zauberhaft und das Cottage einfach nur wunderbar. Uns fehlte es an nichts! Besonders herauszustellen ist, dass das Cottage sehr sauber war und bestens ausgestattet. In der Nähe ist ein Pub, in dem man gut essen gehen kann. Quiet environment with ample parking. We had a number of local activities in the square that livened up the evenings despite the dreary weather.
