The Staff was great and their breakfasts in the morning are incredible! WiFi was a little spotty but that’s the only thing I’d change. They even packed us little snack bags for our airport run!! "

- Slightly far from the areas of the restaurants and shops (10-15 minute walk)
- The room only had white light (no warm yellow light) - which I'm not a fan of"
"An incredible hotel within walking distance of all of the action of town, but in a quieter area. The owner was so helpful and friendly. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay. The breakfast was great too. "
"Beautiful view and very friendly staff. You do have to take a water taxi ($1 and operates 24/7) to the main part of downtown Santa Cruz but the view is worth it! Also it’s across from The Point by Midoro which as an amazing view and food. I would stay there again! "
"This was the most disappointing hotel we have ever booked through hotels.com. The largest concern was the inability to connect with someone when a problem arises, as there was a young girl at the desk unable to assist us and we were unable to reach the owners via email or phone. They misrepresented themselves as having a city view, but are actually situated next to a container truck lot and a petroleum filling staton. Also, there was a loud groaning noise in the hotel until 8:00 pm. At night....
"The Tortuga bay suite is right by the street so you hear the street noise until about 10:30pm on workdays and about 11:30pm on a Friday. The air conditioner doesn’t work well. It makes a noise at night and is quite disturbing. With the many mosquitoes, we could not open the windows and it was quite a terrible experience to sleep at night. The soap and shampoo/body wash are diluted. The fridge is incredibly noisy and you cannot sleep with it being on. The plates are dirty and require extra...

"Fernandina was a delightful property with everything I needed for a final night on the island. It was close to food and shopping and the room was excellent, large and comfy with a nice shower and bathroom. Not to mention the adorable kitten sitting outside my doorway.

"My husband and I stayed at the Posada del Mar for 4 nights. It is a 7-10 minute walk from the ferry terminal, close to the supermarket and tonnes of restaurants, travel companies and shopping. The breakfast is great if you decide to take advantage of it. There is coffee and tea all day as well as water to drink. The people at the front desk speak both Spanish and English and are incredibly helpful. Credit card is accepted for hotel stays. (For breakfast you have to pay in cash.) We took advantage of the taxi ride share within 5-10 minutes walk to go to the airport, which cost $11USD per person (instead of $30USD for taxi.) Rooms are clean and mostly quiet but I did use ear plugs to sleep since there is a discotheque just down the street and sometimes some traffic noise that can be heard from the balcony. Beds are comfy. Water pressure in shower is pretty good but I would recommend to bring flip flops to wear in the shower. Great A/C in the rooms. Would definitely stay again for the price and location.
