"The space was very nice and comfortable. A few amenities that would have been nice are bed side lamps, a hair dryer and a door mat. Aldo the wall way was not shovelled, so a shovel by the door would be handy. Thank you for the home away from home!!"

"Very nice property! The host was very helpful once it was clear they somehow had missed our arrival to arrange for speedy cleanup, access to the property, and compensation. Nice property with access to water (very shallow very far, ideal for small children). Too bad we couldn’t make a fire because of the ban. Old building but nicely renovated. Be ready for at least a train a night that is hard to ignore due to proximity. "

"The cottage is in terrible shape. It is for sale and the owners do not wish to do any renovations ( very many are necessary ). The dock and steps leading to it are very shaky and dangerous. The deck needs to be refininshed. The screen door does not close properly and lets bugs in. The BBQ does not work properly, it is disgustingly filthy and should be replaced. There is supposed to be a ping pong table, but there is not. Some items were missing, and it took 2 days to provide them. The heaters in the main rooms did not work. There was no heater in the downstairs bedroom. I contacted VRBO on the second day and spent over 2 hours on the phone and sent several pictures. I am sad to say that I received no satisfaction from VRBO or the owners. I have used VRBO many times in the past and do not plan to use you again.I feel that we are entitled to some compensation from both the owners and yourselves.Herb Vogelplease refer to case #144026608p.s. "Wonderful house in a tranquil and peaceful spot on the Magnetawan River in Burks Falls...enjoyed my stay immensely...Rathan was very accomodating and i would highly recommend his lovely home"

"Upon arrival we found dead bugs on the inside of the cottage likely from windows being left open. Septic tank was beyond full which meant the toilets backed up/flooded and flooded into the shower. Owner had a septic guy come out to empty the tank but the pipes must've been so far gone because of the full septic tank that the issues continued even after the septic tank was empty. Unfortunately could not continue to stay here so we had to leave. Other than that, it has beautiful views on a very nice lake. If the septic tank/pipe issues are resolved than this cottage would be an amazing place to stay. "
