"We have been coming to Ballard RV Park 10 yrs. Never thought they totally overlooked our reservation we made a year ago and paid in full 1 yr ago also. Vrbo was never contacted because we got an email showing everything was OK with the Gecko House and we were looking forward in staying there, our favorite house. When we got there Monday night because we were driving from NC across country, exhausted, to find someone else in our house , we freaked out. I went to the office and it was closed but had a # to call. Called the # and told the lady that someone was in our house . She came early didn't know what was happening. I was furious that this is happening to us which we never had a problem before. Found out someone rented the house after we made the reservation and paid in full and they were permanent resident In February the next year Never mind that it was reserved by us late June. Then didn't contact us to put us in another property to cover our reservation. Totally left us stranded after traveling so far. The manager was out of town and the lady I was dealing with was the cleaning staff. She told us they were all booked which was an awful feeling that we had nowhere to go. She only had a camper which I wasn't going to go for because I rented a house. She was the only one that took responsibility and felt awful. Belinda saved our vacation She moved things around and got us in a nice house somehow. She alone was a god sent! Very sad that the owner and manager didn't care"
