![The north end of Loch Etive is dominated by the view up Glen Etive to the twin mountains of Buachaille Etive Mor and, to its west, Buachaille Etive Beag. The north ends of these twin ridges dominate the upper parts of Glen Coe, but from the south they appear as twin cones.

Loch Etive is accessible by car via a 14 mile drive down scenic Glen Etive along a minor road that starts at the head of Glen Coe.  

And binoculars should be an essential companion on a journey up Loch Etive. The seals that have hauled themselves out onto the rocks in the loch are easily visible. But it is often more difficult to spot the deer on the hillside, the golden eagles swooping over Beinn Trilleachan or the sea eagles now increasingly being seen here.

« Wir waren nur für 2 Nächte dort.Währenddessen war alles top. Uns wurde ein größeres Haus als gebucht gegeben. Es wäre wohl der Whirlpool im eigentlichen Haus defekt. Das größere Haus ist ziemlich analog. Hat eigentlich nur ein Schlafzimmer mehr.Die Schlafzimmer waren gemütlich und fast jedes Schlafzimmer hatte ein eigenes Badezimmer und es gab noch ein Gäste-WC. Die Küche war gut ausgestattet. Es hatte nur etwas Öl zum anbraten "gefehlt". Salz und Pfeffer waren vor Ort. Es war schön gemeinsam zu...

« Le gîte est bien situé et très propre. Bien équipé et les lits sont confortables. Nombreuses promenades à pieds depuis la location. L’hôte nous a guidé par téléphone jusqu'au gite alors que nous nous étions trompés d’adresse avec une grande patience car nous parlons mal anglais. « Bel appartement pour visiter Oban et les environs :) à noter qu'il faut se stationner dans la rue alors je ne dirais pas que le stationnement est inclus. De plus, il n'y a pas de sécheuse alors prévoir votre lavage en conséquence, il a fallu 3 jours pour que ça sèche. Autrement, je recommande définitivement ce logement et Oban dn général :) »

"L’hôtel était vieillot mais notre chambre était très agréable avec une double vue sur le lac (en coin), et confortable au final. Le personnel nous a très gentiment reattribué cette chambre car nous étions gênés par le bruit de la ventilation dans la 1ere. Option restauration sur place que nous n’avons pas testé. "
