Bathroom was so small nowhere to sit anything. Not very sound proof. Carpet needs a good cleaning. Bed was comfy and we asked for an extra pillow and they did bring us two. Very rundown building and area outside not the cleanest. Our group had 3 rooms and they were all extremely different. Room number 2 was very nice and I would give it 5 stars for decor, cleanliness, and atmosphere. Room 3 was a step down - the difference was the decor. Room 11 was bad - like pre-renovation. Furniture, bathroom fixtures, carpet, everything needed to be replaced - the bathroom was barely functional and it was so rundown that it felt unclean. They were very understanding and kind to us. The room had a beautiful view and amazing bathroom. The dinner was very expensive and did not live up to expectations. Dinner service was not attentive. No mixed drinks available. Very limited whisky offerings. The room was ok, but there was no way to shut off the bathroom fan, so it was going all night. The chairs in the room are very well worn and uncomfortable. On our second day, a storm came through and no power and hot water was available for over 14 hours. The front desk was not going to refund the last night as we were not going to stay without heat, lights, hot water or restaurant available( there wasn’t anywhere else to eat and no fridge in the room).
