Hotels in Sun Groves, Phoenix

"Check-in was conducted by via a computer kiosk, staffed by someone who could been literally anywhere. For the first time EVER when travelling in the US, I was required to provide photo ID for EVERY person in my group. While the woman on the other end of the internet connection was very friendly and attempted to be helpful, you simply can't manage a hotel off site. We got to our first room and discovered the AC didn't work - and that the room was so small that both beds were pushed agains the walls. I complained (after waiting in line behind other people trying to check in via kiosk) and was given another room. But the key card didn't work because her internet connection was slow, so it took 10-15 minutes for the computers to synch and allow our room door to open. This room was slightly larger, allowing access to both sides of ONE of the beds. I always thought the only things I required of a motel were a clean bed and a quiet setting. Turns out I was wrong: having a real human being available to address problems in person has been added to my list of "must haves.""

"Property and rooms were very clean and landscaping was beautiful. In my opinion, the pool n hot tub area could some maintenance or updates but still nice. We ate on site and the food and service were on point!! Front desk staff was wonderful too!! "

"Airport shuttle service is good. Motel staff helpful and friendly. Good location. Room was very old. First room offered smelled strongly of cigarette smoke. Second room only slightly. Shower door handle broken with sharp edges and would not close fully. Comfortable bed. Inexpensive room but only good in our opinion to shower and sleep and leave."

"Everything was good at this hotel. The reason for the okay rating was the extremely loud air conditioning units in the room. The air conditioning worked but it is time for the units to be replaced with something newer and quieter. The staff was friendly and the complimentary snack box in the room was a nice touch. "
