The location is great for day trips to Santa Fe, Taos, Carson National Forest, Valles Caldera and other points of interest. There are good restaurants nearby. "Because I had never visited Los Alamos when the booking said the place was located in Downtown I had envisioned a more traditional urban city center and not such a small village. But that's on me. As for the Canyon Inn itself it was centrally located, clean and relatively quiet. I also wasn't quite expecting the room to be a extra room in someone's residence but it was spacious and more comfortable than I thought it would be. The owners were friendly but not intrusive. Probably worth...
