Discover top Shikoku attractions

Shikoku, Japan, offers a serene escape for travellers seeking relaxation, particularly in the picturesque region surrounding the Iya Valley. Here, you can unwind in the tranquil atmosphere of the vine bridges, which span the verdant gorge, offering breathtaking views and a sense of adventure as you cross them. The area is also home to stunning hot springs, such as those found in Matsuyama, where you can indulge in traditional onsen experiences that rejuvenate the body and mind. For families, the Setouchi region boasts beautiful beaches like those on Naoshima Island, where you can enjoy gentle waves and art installations, creating a unique blend of culture and leisure. Additionally, the scenic Shimanami Kaido cycling route allows for leisurely exploration of the islands, with stunning coastal views that are a feast for the eyes. To elevate your stay, consider hotels with pools in the charming town of Takamatsu, where you can relax after a day of exploration, soaking in the comfort of top hotels while enjoying the surrounding beauty. This combination of natural wonders and luxurious amenities makes Shikoku a rejuvenating getaway.

Top Shikoku Hotel Reviews

Imabari Kokusai Hotel

Imabari Kokusai Hotel

10/10 Excellent
"We had just finished a two day 75 km bike ride and we’re ready to relax. Fortunately, this was the most luxurious hotel we had booked on our entire trip and when we arrived, we were not disappointed. The hotel screams old world charm with its ornate lobby and elaborate boutiques. The room was beautiful without standing views of the city and bridges and our dinner on the 23rd floor, Teppanyaki restaurant with a private chef was unparalleled on the entire trip. This is a bit of an indulgence by Japan standards, but certainly worth it!"
