"Beautiful historic hotel"
The rooms were better than expected and staff was beyond helpful and courteous. It was also clean which is a plus. Its location is great too, we were able to walk everywhere we wanted to go. By beautiful squares. Would stay there again.

The Marshall House

123 East Broughton Street, Savannah - Map
"Convenient location for historic area"
A positive and pleasant experience the entire stay, especially the friendliness of the staff from front desk, concierge, breakfast waitstaff, housekeeping and those helping at the front door and with baggage. Complimentary wine and cheese each evening (Monday-Thursday) was a nice extra. The included complimentary breakfast was more like a full breakfast than what you would find in a chain hotel. Real fresh fruit and homemade biscuits!

"Close to everything."
Our stay was like a hotel bed and breakfast. All the ammendaties of the hotel experience with the down home feeling. Wine and cheese at 5:30, hot cookies at bed time, apples in the day, breakfast in the morning was a nice touch.

"Wonderful Stay"
This is worth it, the food is great, the staff is great, and the location is great. My only complaint was that we couldn't stay longer. Such a great bed and breakfast.

River Street Inn - Savannah Hotels

River Street Inn

124 E. Bay Street, Savannah - Map
"Well located, character hotel"
Very nice, very sympathetically converted from an old cotton warehouse. Some small touches lacking though - 2 of us staying in a room with a king size bed, but there was only a bedside table on ONE side of the bed (presumably because there was a very narrow gap between the bed and the wall, but they could have had a small table on either side instead of a large one on one side and nothing on the other). We had to ask for the robes which hadn't been put in the room and there was no safe in the room. Breakfast in the on site restaurant, Hueys, is best avoided! There was no fruit on the menu(!) but they did provide some when asked. However, it was well past its prime. Go instead to Goose Feathers which is about a 5 minutes walk away.

"Great Hotel right in heart of historic district"
From the moment we entered the lobby the staff was more than helpful and friendly, from the front desk to breakfast staff to turn down service - all were exceptional. Also informative about the town and things to do. Rooms were unique and added to the flavor of a beautiful city.

"Beautiful Location"
The Gastonian is on a beautiful quiet street. The staff are amazing as they go out of their way to make you as comfortable as possible! The chefs are great! The breakfasts are huge and delicious as are the snacks and desserts. Chef James makes an amazing chicken. Salad and he even made me some to take home! Overall it was a wonderful experience! Love Savannaha!
