"Savannah's Beautiful Historic District"
This was a stop-over because of an important side trip. Only two days in the hotel. Love the city and met great people (other visitors) at the lively Collins Quarter restaurant, bartender Andrew, and the friendly and very accommodating GM. Also really enjoyed Vic's on the River with superb service (Drew) and wonderful lamb. Both walking distance to the hotel.

"Great location, lovely historic building"
Staff is great:. Charles at front desk was so gracious and patient, helpful with restaurant recommendations, etc. Melvin the Bellman is quite charming. Rico at the bar is a great conversationalist, very attentive to his guests. Jeanette at checkout was efficient, helpful with arranging city tour, AND found and returned my forgotten blazer by UPS...Thank you again! Five-Star staff! Only recommendation would be new mattresses in queen suites. We will be back!

Olde Harbour Inn

"Beautiful suite, but there's some work to do. "
Stayed in a beautiful suite at the Olde Harbour Inn. Very large loft bedroom, living room and small but lovely bedroom with Great river view. Beautifully decorated. Tons of storage. Strange thing was, In the bathroom it's a different story. The tub was very worn and actually rough on the feet as it's really in need of reglazing. Toilet and cabinet also not in the best shape. But the real issue was cleanliness. We came the day after St. Patrick's Day festivities and all hotels were working hard to get back to normal, so we were understanding when we checked in that the floors were visibly dusty and dirty throughout. Thought it would improve the next day but it didn't. Left a housekeeping tip each day and finally a (pleasantly worded) note requesting a sweeping as well as another roll of TP, lotion and coffee, all of which we were out of. Also, both robes in the room were clearly never laundered, one contained and bodily emission I will not go into. After housekeeping's visit it was clear there was no cleaning or restocking. Very frustrating. Management kindly gave us two free breakfasts as an apology, and the breakfasts were wonderful. On the final day it appeared they had mopped the room right over the dirt on the floors, so still no improvement. I have never complained at a hotel, but had to as this got to be too much. The wine and cheese hour is wonderful. Hard to rate this hotel - we were in love with the suite but the housekeeping issues may prevent our return

"Great accomodations, amazing staff"
Our stay at The Gastonian was amazing. The location was wonderful, we were able to walk to see all that the city had to offer. The staff members were all so warm and welcoming. We loved the small touches such as afternoon wine and hors d'oeuvres and evening desserts... the port was delicious. If and when we return to Savannah, we'll be booking @ The Gastonian again--the property is beautiful.

"Great location easily accessible to everything."
The staff was amazing both in the hotel and the restaurant. Unbeknownst to us it was St Patrick's celebration weekend the day we arrived. This is a big deal in Savannah and a huge amount of people attend. The hotel staff was prepared but unfortunately our second night we had people in the next room who were playing loud music and partying. When we called the front desk they called the room and the music was immediately lowered but the partying continued. The next morning the front desk assured us that several other guests had complained and they offered to take several charges off our bill. Furthermore, the manager,Alfons called us later that morning to express his apologies and again ask what they could do. Brandy, the restaurant manager was also amazing. When we went to dinner on Sat. night without a reservation the hostess could not accommodate us but she found a solution. She set us up outside and we had a wonderful, quiet and attentive dining experience.

La Quinta Inn Savannah Midtown

"Good place to crash"
One night stopover, we were really tired. The king-size bed was very comfortable, the TV and Wifi worked, and bedding and linens were fine. It is a very large facility, rooms are a bit dated and used, but a decent value. Close to shopping and restaurants. Check-in was fast and efficient. You may not get a parking space close to your room, and there are no elevators for the 2nd floor.
