The check-in clerk was super insistent that it was a non-smoking room, but as soon as we went in our room it smelled like someone had hot boxed a pack of Marlboros about 12 seconds before we got there. We were too tired to care so we opened a window and went to sleep. The next day I went to the front desk to ask for some air freshener for the room. The new clerk gave me the 3rd degree about why I didn't report the smell immediately. Like yo, I'm not smoking in there. Let me have some febreze. The next day we were out all day and cam back and our room hadn't been cleaned. It was out of toilet paper so we called the front and asked to have cleaning service. They were again kind of rude and said cleaning staff had left for the day. Ok cool, but we need toilet paper. But then they sent up a cleaner who was a very nice man and he took care of us. It's a Super 8\. All I wanted was a clean place to sleep. What we got was a lot of weirdly uncalled for attitude from front desk staff and probably a touch of second hand emphysema." It did take a little time to secure power for two CPAP's but eventually we were successful. The lounge was a really comfortable place to sit and have a cocktail, the young lady behind the bar was very friendly and fun to talk with (and had great taste in music!). We enjoyed the laidback atmosphere, even played cribbage while having breakfast before leaving. We will certainl be back!" Friendly, welcoming, knowledgeable, effective. The building is a basic motel. The rooms have vinyl wood floors and are very clean. I had two dogs with me and when I paid $175 extra it seemed maybe I should get something for that. But no dog bowls, no cookies, no poop bags. They weren’t set up to keep the room clean: no dog bed was provided and I had to use my own dog towels to wipe their feet. I also had to make a special request to get a sheet to cover the bed so we wouldn’t get mud on the beautiful white comforter s. Made me think it was just a money grab.
