"Our stay at the ‘Hideout’ was amazing. The hut was fabulous and really quirky. So peaceful, tranquil and relaxing. The view was stunning and the location was perfect to explore Rye and surrounding areas. There was a nice little pub which was a short walk just down the lane. Will definitely book again. "

"The room was really lovely 4*. It was quiet, overlooked lovely gardens. Great size and nicely laid out. But coming into hotel reception was dark and smelt of stale beer....we actually thought of leaving. Staff not very friendly or welcoming, apart from one person in breakfast room who was very helpful...Leo. Food and breakfast were all good. We didn't use swimming pool as it didn't look great and had read several poor reviews. But location was brilliant. Short walk into a lovely high street and along the canal. So room 4* staff and reception area are just about 3* I was surprised how dark it is inside as it is right on sea front but there were no lounges, dining areas over looking the sea. Sea front and walks were stunning. Parking was great. Room was clean but not spotless. And we had a tricky encounter with staff when we asked for clean cups for our room! Overall quite a pleasant stay, positives just about out weighed the negatives"
