« Thank goodness all the wood was free! Very chilly without wood fire. Once a fire going very cozy. Brand new bathroom! Will be super nice once it is all renovated! Kitchen nice but upgrade in appliances available would be good for those that want to cook. Loved the big fridge. Felt very safe and love Blackheath. »

« Cat on The Hat was a delightful place to stay. Hosts went the extra mile, with heating on when we arrived, marshmallows & hot choc, and an abundance of kitchen supplies. The apartment was spacious, homely & had a super comfy bed wirh flannette sheets. Highly Recommend. »

« Cute and cosy little cottage with old worldly charm. It felt like we had stepped back in time. I loved the artworks on the walls. Was a bit dusty but the Bathroom is new and immaculately clean. The beds were so comfortable and the heaters and fireplace were amazing! My only issue was it was listed as 4 bedrooms but is only 3 with the 3rd bed being a pull out sofa lounge in the lounge room. I would stay there again and I’d recommend to others but I’d make them aware that it’s only a 3 bedder. »

« Host did not greet us or leave milk for tea & coffee. Host 2 dogs were the only friendly ones at the property although first night they barked all night and one was very thin and was looking for food. No firepit, which we were looking forward to at night. Outlook was disappointing as main view was looking at old shed and old machinery and timber lying around. No WiFi and poor TV reception. We would not return 😒 »

« We had a rewlly lovely relaxing stay, the kids enjoyed every minute and our border collie had the time of his life running in the paddock! The farm fresh produce was a joy to cook with and everything you need to create delicious meals is at hand. »

« The place is pretty much as described, nothing to fault. It was well equipped and had all the things you need for a comfortable stay. The only thing I would contest is the "walking distance to town". It probably is walkable if the weather is fine and you are fit and up for a walk but when the weather is not get great and/or you have small kids (in a pram or not) you probably want to drive as it's very hilly and not the best walking paths. »

« Simple well equipped hideaway perfect for couples and small family groups. We loved opening up the house to enjoy the garden and bird life with our afternoon drinks. The kitchen is small, but well stocked with appliances and utensils. »

« I can’t be more impressed and satisfied with Josephine’s Cottage! The host is so friendly, helpful and informative. The interior is so clean and comfy, exactly like what you see in the photos. The location is perfect with a lake and bushwalk nearby. It’s also within close driving range to Leura, Katoomba and Blue Mountains National Park. Highly recommended and we will definitely book with you again if it’s just the both of us travelling. Thank you again for the wonderful stay! »
