"Our stay at the Shijo Takakura Hotel grandreverie was great! It was the most memorable room of our trip to Japan, a great design and lots of space. The stone shower and bathtub were especially luxury. The staff was incredibly attentive. It's the one place we'd immediately go again!"

"Very clean and nice hotel. The room we got was very spacious for two people which included a small table and chairs. Separate dining area located next to hotel which served delicious breakfast buffet style and a main breakfast item. In the common area next to lobby, they served sake and had other treats. Nice place to relax. The staff are very friendly and helpful. Umbrellas are provided if needed at the front. They also have luggage service which was very convenient. Would stay here again. Thank you to the staff for making us feel welcomed to the beautiful Osaka area."

"The hotel was very nice. First of all the location is just perfect. You can walk pretty much anywhere, and otherwise you have a subway line just a few minutes away. it's also very convenient to move in taxi. The room was spacious and very nice. It had good amenities, a coffee maker, a nice TV, tons of storage space, and the bed was super comfortable. The bathroom was great too. And everything was ultra clean. The staff was very friendly and helpful. And breakfast was very good, totally worth it. I would definitely recommend it and go back my next time in Kyoto."

![The area of #Gion in #Kyoto is the traditional, cultural pulse of #Japan (also home to many #cherryblossoms in the #spring). I took this photo around 8:20 AM in early April when there were few people on the streets (an uncommon scene during peak cherry blossom season in Kyoto.) 

I noticed that in Japan, folks don't start their day until later (after 8:30 AM), unlike in Europe where if you're not at an attraction prior to 5AM, there are going to be a billion other people in your shot. We took a moment to bask in the peacefulness of the moment.
