Second, the resort provides its' own guides for the Manuel Antonio National Park. We arranged to have a private tour due to my mobility limitations. We had Clarence Whittaker as our guide, and he was so patient, friendly and helpful, he pushed me in a wheelchair, UPHILL and over gravel and rocks. He was incredible. And of course, he was an excellent, knowledgeable guide. I cannot say enough about him. There is also a free tour of the hotel's own nature reserve, but we didn't go on it. The food at the restaurant is excellent. The included breakfast is very generous. All the wait staff were friendly and attentive. The view is gorgeous and we watched the sun set from the restaurant and Sky Bar every night. We heard howler monkeys and toucans. The drinks were delicious and not overly sweet like in the US. Our room was lovely, comfortable and clean and it had nice amenities too, like delicious coffee, a sitting area, an outdoor sitting area and a luxurious shower with multiple nozzles.
