"When we arrived around 2pm, our room was not ready until 4pm. Went back to check at 4pm, still not ready. It was around 4:30pm before we got a room. Walking around the room in bare feet, your feet get black and sticky. There is no table service at this resort for drinks. Staff is not as friendly compared to other resorts. Food was just okay, not a lot of flavor."

"Cleaning staff is wonderful. Concierge staff also wonderful - very helpful. The hotel is updated and modern although some small half ass work remodeling - still pretty good. The location is perfect. Walk everywhere or catch a tour or taxi right in front. It is loud due to the Cascada bar upstairs but that didn’t bother me. I joined the fun and went to sleep afterwards. My balcony room was great. 402\. View of the ocean and the city. The reviews about the carpet were not accurate on my floor - 3\. Carpets were clean and new. No worries about security. Most nights there was a security guard at the entrance. The door to the floors can only be accessed with room card Mar Y Tierra restaurant was great. I ate there a few times. There are plenty of options all over the place. Please walk around. Cross the Queen Emma Bridge. Google Maps will be useful. Casanova. Toasted Buns. Piace Bieu for local food. Kuda Handa Village. Get a tour for the beaches - mambo. Kenepa. The hato caves were spectacular. The San Marino casino was not good The people of Curacao were wonderful ! Enjoy. Talk to locals. Live well. Bon Bini!!. "

"We just completed our stay. Things we liked was the proximity to Willemstead. The room was nicely decorated with the old school shutters. Some did not close as the latches were broken. We placed towels and face clothes between the glass and the shutters to jam them closed for privacy. Things we didn’t like. The rooms were definitely not sound proof. There’s a bar right beside the hotel which has live music every Saturday and Thursday. The Thursday is insane. The room does provide ear plugs which did not work. You can guarantee a sleepless night that night. Saturdays are not as loud. But the bar noise often carry’s into the early morning hours. The room we had the, bed was not level ( we had to sleep the opposite way) to ensure you did not wake up with a neck cramp from your head being smushed with the wall. The pillows are not great. The room comes with two pillows and we asked for a third and they did not have one. I naively would expect most hotels to have anb ice machine. This one does not. That’s neither a pro or con just fyi. It mentions parking is available close by. That would be street parking which can be challenging to obtain. Otherwise it’s paid street parking. Only one of the sites is oceanfront. The other you need to walk two blocks. Again just an fyi. I would recommend this hotel to people who would be going to the bars till late hours as the night noise would likely not bother you. But the almost daily early morning garbage collection may. "
