Britannia Hotel Manchester

Britannia Hotel Manchester

10/10 Excellent
"This hotel was the most value I've ever spent for a hotel room. The location is close to perfect. The amenities are perfect. There's a bar, there's food, it's a beautiful old building they have bathtubs. I haven't seen a bathtub in forever in a hotel room and yes, lots of hot water It was an amazing stay if you are reading bad reviews from this hotel. Don't listen. It was the best I've had for a very long time. Every time I come to Manchester. This will be the place I stay 10 out of 10 for value."

"Not really sure why there are some very negative reviews. Whilst it’s hardly luxury, for the £40 I paid for one weeknight it was superb for the price. Yes it could do with a lick of paint, and the rooms are somewhat basic like a lack of a kettle, cups, safe, fridge, smart TV etc (there was a hair dryer and that was it). That said, the room was clean, comfortable, warm, safe and had a decent walk-in shower. For somewhere to put your head down for a night or 2 it’s ideal!"

"The property was very nice, clean and well appointed. They had a huge group staying there and were understaffed however. Not enough staff in the bar to handle the influx or at the front desk. Wait times were long to check in and to get a drink. Otherwise it’s a great hotel with a great location and was very clean and well appointed."

"Doors to the room and also secondary door to the small hallway are very heavy and incredibly loud when closing. This results in a high level of banging noise throughout the day and night. The breakfast is incredibly poor. Luke warm sausages in a dry bun, or very fatty bacon also in a dry bun. It wouldn’t take much effort to put a normal breakfast buffet on. Location is good, very close the Northern Quarter. The building itself is stunning and a great job has been done to retain character and charm."
