This hotel tucked away on a smaller block was a pleasure to stay at. It's a beautiful, small place much like a bed and breakfast in the US. The breakfast was wonderful, and had it delivered to our room. It came on a beautiful silver tray and it made us feel like royalty. It is super convenient to many Metro lines, and there are great restaurants just steips away. Best part though, was the wonderful and gracious staff. Amelie was particularly friendly and pleasant. Amelie and her colleagues always had a smile on their faces even after a very long day. Staying at this hotel was a real treat.

Perfect hotel with intimate ambiance
Very courteous and attentive staff. Size of the rooms are standard for Paris hotel, and set up of the room is well-designed. Breakfast for good. Location is perfect to reach the whole right bank of Paris. I recommend and would go back.

One Night in Paris
Maison Athenee is a small boutique hotel in an outstanding location, the decor reflects its proximity to the opera, The staff were all very warm and friendly. The room small, but comfortable with everything we needed for a one night stay before flying home.

Nice hotel
The people were very nice & helpful. The location was excellent. The superior room was lovely but the lighting was kind of dark. There was no magnifying mirror.

we had the biggest room and it was still rather small, especially the bathroom. The most annoying thing is they controlled A/C access during the hot times. During one night we woke up sweating because they shut off our AC and restricted our access access likely to save money. I had to storm downstairs at 3am and demand access to our A/C. That was absurd!!!

The staff was very friendly and accommodating. The atmosphere is very welcoming. My spouse and I were very comfortable with the size of the room and the bathroom, great for 2 nights. This location is wonderful !

I love it
I love this place and go back there when I can. Small boutique hotel, adorable and very efficient staff, nice and cosy breakfast room. Original decoration. Easy to reach from Roissybus if you fly to Paris, unbeatable to get to any place in the city with many subways, REF and buses around. Very nice restaurants in the vicinity. I love it!

This little hotel is full of charm and character. The dark and moody interior is perfect for a romantic getaway. It is perfectly located where you feel that you are part of a neighborhood. The rooms are compact and quiet dressed in rich hues. The staff ever so polite and helpful. I look forward to our next visit there.

Everything is fine except the room was somewhat cramps and the ambience is dingy so that one could say whether was daytime or night time. The people at the hotel were courteous.

There were two incidents that someone broke into our room. First time was shortly after we checked in, someone opened our door without knocking the door and closed immediately when she noticed we were in the room. The next morning, the receptionist blamed us washing clothes in the room while we were having breakfast. The fact was we NEVER did that. I didn’t know why she made such allegations to us without any proof and shouted at us impolitely in front of other guests in the breakfast room. The last day was the WORST, I just bathed in the morning and wrapped myself in towel only. Someone opened the door without knocking the door AGAIN. This was totally unacceptable and this was the worst experience hotel staying I have ever had.

Nice hotel for short time stay in Paris. Excellent location near Opera. Good breakfast. Clean room. Friendly stuff. What else can you expect for the money you pay ($250 including taxes)? Why for short stay? The room is so large that it fits a bed and 2 medium suitcases. And the receptionist said that we got an upgraded room. I cannot imagine what size non-upgraded is. But I repeat: this is Paris, Opera, reasonable price. So giving it 5 stars.

A little hidden treasure
This hotel has a luxurious, cosy and stylish feel to it - a little hidden treasure on a busy city street - the bedrooms are a bit small truthfully but beautifully decorated - the breakfast room is very stylish - I will come again

The service was great, but our room was terribly damp and musty and I have been sick since leaving the property. We arrived late on Sunday and I only really noticed on the second night when we came back to our room and the smell was horrendous.

Private hotel in the heart of the city
Great location. Can walk to many sights but the hotel feels tucked away and private. Quiet rooms, comfortable beds and linens. Small rooms but expected to be. Deep tub, great for soaking after hours of walking. Only negative is that we did not know that we had to ask to have the AC turned on in our room. It could be controlled in the room after it was turned on at the front desk. Very friendly and helpful staff.

Parisian Pearl at the Opera
If you’re looking for a romantic boutique hotel in the Opera district Maison Athenee is a must stay. The rooms are beautiful and elegant with luxurious bedding. The lobby bar stocks premium drinks and wonderful food and the ambience is Parisian romance at its best. Pierre, Alex and all the staff are true gentlemen and make the guests feel special. It’s a Parisian Pearl in the Opera!

Intimate stay with real plush beddings
The stay was lovely! Service staff were all very helpful from front desk to concierge. Making our 1-night stay really pleasant. The room maybe small but it is quite standard in boutique and hotels in the city area. Did I mention the bed? It was one of the softest yet firm bed and pillows I have had slept on throughout my 2 weeks stay in Europe(including one of the best hotels in the world). Areas of improvements: The hotel could do with brighter lights. Also because my eyesight is failing...i can't quite find stuff under the orangey-glow of the mood lights. It will also be great if the doors that would closed without having to shove hard against the floor because od misalignment.

Guests - BEWARE!!! Hide all your belongings, especially your jewelry. Housekeeping person STOLE from my wife's cosmetic bag diamond ring, pearl earrings and diamond bracelet. We discovered that just after leaving the hotel. Tried to contact hotel - received response from (Thibaut Estanguet / Assistant Manager) : After checking, nothing was found in the room 401. Most likely they hire there staff without criminal record check. You do not know who comes to clean your room - you and your belongings are in danger!!! Me and my wife stayed at Deluxe Room, which supposed to be the biggest. However it's very, very small and dark room. Needs lots of upgrades. Very short on staff, same person works at a front desk and at the same time serves breakfast in the morning. There is almost nothing to eat for a breakfast, you have to wait for 10 - 15 minutes even to get a cup of coffee. Not mention time to get some food. The only plus side - hotel's small hallway, which adds nice touch to the decor. Very well done. Hotel is centrally located, close to everything.

Great location
Fantastic location as you're not too far from the sights and surrounded by great restaurants and shops. For our first time in Paris this was ideal scouting position to get to all the main sites. We walked to the Eiffel tower which was about 45 mins with a few picture stops. The hotel is quite Gothic/romantic styled which was different to most commercial chains. The rooms are small but apparently the norm in this glorious city. The bathrooms are stunning and the shower is one of the best I've ever used in a hotel. Lifts are small. We were on the 5th floor and as it was the loft the ceiling were slopes in to the bedroom space. The hotel was very clean and staff were very good. We got to the hotel from the airport using 'roisybus' which is direct and stops about 5 mins walk from the hotel
