"I was very happy with my stay: big room, bath, private patio, really good breakfast, small gym room, pool and jacuzzi. Some pleasant staff members who helped with an early check in and finding out prices for taxi journeys. "

"We arrived about 90 minutes early and asked if we could leave our luggage, our room was within a couple of minutes of being finished so spoke to the very nice receptionist Staff are really upbeat and friendly. Room was fabulous, amazing views over the sea and towards the cliffs. The sea on a couple of days over the weekend had big waves so was wonderfull, there is a lovely walk around a point on Porto do Cruz and on it there is a blow hole where the sea pushes the sea out and up to about 10 metres,.maybe more. This can be also a place to get wet as the spray can get you when you walk past. It's quite a popular attraction and great fun. Also when the waves are big it can also breech the sea wall. The bed in the room was very comfy and the shower had loads of hot water. Weather we had was lovely over 20 C. Had a couple of good hikes, one to Boca do Risco and back, tough start but once up to 350 metres quite flat. Also Levada Castelejo. We are not using a car so get the bus to Referta and walk from there, if you are in the area both theses walk are great you can exit this one early on the way back and walk back down the hill Breakfast had quite a selection of dishes and fab coffee. Need to add if you are taking buses be very aware of public holidays as buses can be next to nothing on these days. We were lucky to get a bus on Shrove Tuesday to Santa Cruz. Porto do Cruz is a great place for a few days and this accommodation was fab. Would recommend and stay again. Cheers, 😁😁"

"I loved the hammock on our porch! The rose garden was beautiful. Our porch had a view of the sea and the mountains. It was nice to have a separate sitting area and the weather was beautiful to enjoy sitting out on the porch."

"We recently stayed here in late October 2023 for five nights (Sunday-Friday) and had a wonderful time. This is a very special place. If you really want to immerse yourself in the nature of Madeira, Terrabonna will not disappoint. Marco and Maria and their staff (Emmanuel is great!) are terrific hosts. Their love for what they do comes through in everything here…the luxurious eco-conscious approach, the little touches and their care of their guests. We especially enjoyed the hosted-dinner…wish they offered more (perhaps two a week?). The villas are comfortable and very private. The scenery is magical. You do need a car and the final drive into the location takes getting used to (we arrived in the dark and it was raining hard so that made it more challenging)…but so worth it. Excellent white wines too! I recommend this to anyone considering a trip to Madeira, who wants to disconnect from city life and recharge in the gorgeous mountains on this vineyard."
