A tourist with the Big Apple
The Big Apple is a bakery, restaurant and roadside attraction in the community of Colborne, part of the municipality of Cramahe, Northumberland County in Central Ontario, Canada. It just off Ontario Highway 401 at interchange 497 (Northumberland County Road 25/Percy Street) and is recognizable from the highway because of what it claims is the world's largest apple.

With a height of 10.7 metres (35 ft) and diameter of 11.6 metres (38 ft), the Big Apple features an observation deck.

The site also features a petting zoo and other amenities.

« Booked for my family visiting for summer. Air Canada strike cancelled their flight so they did not come. Host refused to cancel reservation even after pleading for half the cost. « I booked 7 months in advance. Three months prior to stay I had a change to my travel plans. I requested cancellation of the first night of my 9 night stay to accommodate my itinerary. I was told it was not possible. I sent them a copy of their own policy that showed it was allowed. « We absolutely loved our stay at the Westlake Milford Lodge. The cottage was cosy and quiet. It was exactly what we were looking for to enjoy a romantic New Years.
