"This was our first time in North Carolina and it won’t be our last. The house, the view was amazing. Gorgeous sunrises and distance to the beach was perfect. Hot tub was my favorite. Can’t wait to come back. Looking forward to our next adventure at the beach. PS…..we could not believe we were only Few houses from the Inn at Rodanthe, we thought we were movie stars. "

"Our family enjoyed a great week full of memories at this welcoming home. It was just right for our family of 7 adults and 5 children 6mo-10y. Beautiful oceanfront with great space for gathering in open top floor. Well stocked kitchen included everything we needed for the week. Plenty of games and puzzles, sand toys and a space under the home where the kids can play in sand if you have a rainy day . The 3 outside showers were used daily and very convenient. The beach was beautiful and not at all crowded. We will be returning to Sara’s next year!"

"Our family has been vacationing in OBX for the last 7 summers. We had our regular house that we stayed at and last year at the end of the summer they sold the property. I was so discouraged and worried about finding a new rental that gave our family the same kind of homey feel…. And boy did this property not disappoint. The location was perfect. Kayaking, beach, sound swimming, fishing, pool, and hot tub. The kitchen provided an endless supply of dishes, pots, pans, crockpot… you name it. I could go on and on with the positives. A bit into the vacation one of the AC units stopped working. The host answered almost immediately and had someone out to fix it in no time flat. I am not so smart with technology and could not figure out the tv, host responded within 15 min to help guide me on how to operate the tv. We have already lined up another vacation to our new favorite home away from home."

"The house was very clean when we arrived! Although there isn’t central air, there are window units in every room making it very comfortable! We had a wonderful time! For those reading reviews for environment - BEWARE OF MOSQUITOES! Bring bug spray! The mosquitoes are prolific right now due to the rain and standing water this time of year. They will bite through your clothes."

"Great house! Our group of 8 had plenty of room, with space for group activities and privacy when needed. Access to the Sound was beneficial for putting in kayaks and the beach was an easy 8 minute walk through the community. The swim/spa was a welcomed alternative. A well appointed kitchen and deluxe bedrooms made for a relaxing family vacation."

"We thoroughly enjoyed spending the week with 4 generations of our family! Everyone had a wonderful time, and each commented, at the end, that this was the best vacation they ever had. The house was amazing and there was plenty of room for everybody to relax and enjoy! We highly recommend this property! Oceanfront is the absolute best way to truly experience The Outer Banks!!"

"Our stay was great. The house is very rustic like you step back in time to the days of the Pirates. Short walk to the beach. The house is in need of some TLC such as the decks , outdoor shower, grill. These were all in need of replacement. Other than that the house was huge inside with multiple floors and an old Observatory at the very top. You can see for days up there. The outside area could use some cleaning up and a warning to the visitors that they will be driving thru some loose sand to get to the house. I had to use 4 wheel drive to get to the house but had a friend show up in a front wheel drive car and made it just fine. Unfortunately for us the weather wasn't that great 5/9-5/16 the high for the week was 70. You will enjoy this place. Watch the movie Nights in Rodanthe and you will lots of things in the house that are in the movie such as the old organ. The movie is there and a dvd player. If someone asked me if I would go again that's a Yes for sure answer. The cool part of the trip was we had high winds several days and you feel the house sway a bit. Not 100% sure but I think the house was haunted. Some weird things too place. You have to experience on your own to understand."
