"We needed to move our TXST student into his dorm but wanted to avoid boarding our dog. This was a fantastic home. We truly enjoyed the time we were able to stay in the house. The host reached out numerous times to check on us. Also, I noticed the little things. There were plenty of towels and washcloths. There was adequate shelving in the bathroom to allow everyone to keep their stuff in the bathroom. The host left a nice note at the beginning of our stay, suggesting nearby restaurants. The dog...

"My wife and I had a great experience for our 15th anniversary. We stayed in Casita 3 which is standalone from the other Casitas. We parked the car and were able to walk everywhere for the duration of our weekend. Downtown Gruene is a 2 minute walk away and we found a great coffee shop (Kora Kora) about 5 minutes in the other direction. There's live music across the street and though we could hear it faintly, our white noise maker drowned it out. We didnt expect to have access to kayaks but those...

It is a bit pricey but as I stated it is nice and the beds are comfortable, except the sofa bed. The grounds are beautiful and well kept."

"My husband and I rented the Casita for a quick adult getaway and it was a wonderful stay! The casita was clean, roomy and had really nice amenities. It was perfect for us. The walk to Gruene was short and easy but our favorite part was being able to walk down to the river, get in with ease and relax for a day without having to float. "Perfect little spot to stay right between Austin and San Antonio! Convenient to a couple stores and quiet. Looked exactly as it did in the photos! The property manager was easy to get in touch with and really nice. I enjoyed my stay. If you have small children with you or have them plan to visit it has a great little yard and swing but beware the nextdoor neighbors dogs, they DO NOT like kids and the fence is not very high. "

"We had the best time at the Fun Casita in Gruene! The property was beautiful and well furnished, but it didn’t compare to the river access and water amenities. We spent much of our trip sitting on chairs in the water watching the tubers and the wildlife. The bonus was the location which allowed us to walk to all of the restaurants, shopping, and entertainment areas. I highly recommend this casita! "
