"Dreams Inn is a cute hotel right on the beach. Our room was right over the pool & we worried it would be loud but it wasn’t. The room was clean & comfy with a cute retro vibe. Great location for walking to the boardwalk & many restaurants & cafes "

"Always an amazing stay at Portola. Staff is great, location is perfect, rooms are always clean and nice. Even the elevators system they have is fast and convenient. We'll keep coming back."

"Rooms are small (and you can barely shut the bathroom door when you are in there), but you are paying for the beautiful view. Best feature of the hotel is the lobby, with amazing views of the waves, birds, seals, otters & dolphins. Happy hour at the wine bar starts at 3! There were a few snafus while we were there but the staff went above & beyond to make things right."

"It’s in a good location, but the walk to the aquarium is further than I anticipated from their write up. The room felt dated and cheap. Repairs to the walls look like they were done by a child. The furniture is older and banged up. It did not feel special in any way. In my experience, I would compare it more to a budget motel than a nice hotel in Monterey. I would choose somewhere different next time."

"Rooms are very clean, no circulation so leave windows open. Fireplace was for ambiance only. Heat control was great! Water pressure in shower was AMAZING. Breakfast was sub par but good enough to sample to get you by if you are not boujee. Coffee on Thursday was amazing. Friday is was weak. I would definitely stay here again, rooms are good size"

"Parking was convenient- room was clean - staff was friendly. Was extremely disappointed upon check in - reserved a cottage for two and was told upon check in they had no availability. We needed up staying in a “hotel” room - again- not what was advertised. "

"Quaint, clean and cute! About 20 min walk to cannery row. Great ice cream at scoops across the street. Quiet hotel at top of town which I prefer not to be in the thick of the tourist area "
