"Lovely location, very friendly staff, beautiful room! I had a quiet room overlooking the vineyards. There are also rooms overlooking the river, but they get afternoon sun on the balconies and you may get some street noise. The dinner and breakfast was lovely! They can reserve your favorite table. Lots of parking. Right next to bike trail- easy ride to Cochem! Super relaxing. They also have a nice looking spa area, i didn't use it though. Very good Riesling wine."

"The hotel and restaurant are superb. Kastellaun itself however is very much a town in decline. I grew up there and it is very sad to see so many vacant shops and so few people in the middle of the holiday season."

"Clean and comfortable. At the time we stayed, 21 to 29 December 2017 the hotel was largely filled with elderly German coach parties. They seemed to be on a full board basis so the dining room was crowded at mealtimes. Luckily we were able to use the smaller room off the main area which was quieter and quite pleasant.
