"The service seems great as our check in was easy and smooth. Very nice front desk attendant. The location is quiet, which is great. The free parking was a plus. We were fine with simple amenities, but where we were unhappy was the cleanliness and bed comfort. The base boards and corners were not clean. I understand it’s 2 star level motel, but it was gross to see hair and lint plastered to the base boards. There was a long hair on the wall in the bathroom and a previous guest’s eye mask near the bed. My husband told me afterwards that he picked black hairs (long hair) off the sheets. He didn’t tell me as he knew I would freak out although if he had I would have discussed this with the front desk our first night. The bath towels smelled. The bed was hard, which meant back pain all night long. Maybe some rooms were better than others, but for $414 + $20 more once checked in for 2 nights…it’s a lot for what we experienced. I know it’s spring break, Monterey, and inflation, but still can’t justify. We checked out before night 2 as we decided we would rather be home. "

"Front desk was helpful and very friendly upon checking in. Our room was facing the water and had a gorgeous view. The complimentary breakfast was served within the time frame we picked so the coffee stayed hot, juice stayed cold. This was a great experience for my partner and I. We really liked how a beach was literally right next to the hotel, and cannery row was walking distance from us. Will 100% book with the place again. "

"Did not meet expectations. Facility needs more upkeep and general maintenance, mostly on the exterior and outdoor areas. Stayed in building Q, which had litter and some trash in the open hallway for the 3 nights we were there. The 2 bedroom queen with patio room was spacious and pretty nice I side, except for the numerous spots where the wallpaper was peeling. The dirty dusty grimy patio, and the shower head that wouldn't stay in place (pole kept dropping down). Pool was a nice temperature, but there were no towels available (sometimes for hours, 2 of the 3 nights). Restaurant onsite was pricey but pretty tasty. Pickle ball courts were abundant and free to borrow equipment to play."

"The feont desk person didnt tell us how to get to our room, I had to ask. She said tuen left and take the stairs up. We has to ask a second time. The real direction that should have been shared is tuen left walk a 10p yards thepugh the garage and the stairs will be on the right. The key cards didn't work and had ro walk back. Had to ask for the wifi code later that night. Then its given with a map of the hotel. This should have been given in the beginning. "

"Reservation error - whose fault - Expedia or the motel? I made two reservations on Expedia - one for two rooms with one King bed and one for one room with two Queen beds. I cancelled one of the King bed rooms, but when we got there, the motel staff said that I had two reservations for one King bed each but not the two Queens. I don't know how that happened. The motel staff didn't have any available rooms with two beds except for a suite for an additional $100. For a one night stay, it didn't make sense to pay the additional amount for something that wasn't my fault. We made do, but are not happy with this. "

"We liked the convenient parking and location but the hotel itself is NOT as nice as the pictures make you believe. We had issues with our rooms door locking securely, TV working and screen door to the balcony was broken. I’m not sure our bathroom was cleaned prior to our arrival. I found the last guests contact lenses on the sink counter!"
