Very close to the many lakes that surround the town, including the large Plessis pond, a literal green lung nestled on the edge of a vast forest. Rich in a rare industrial heritage that it has been able to enhance (perfectly preserved industrial remains to discover on site and mining museum allowing you to visit original authentic galleries!), Montceaux has since completely converted to recreational sports activities , nature & culture by transforming in particular the quarries of its former mining parks into lakes and landscaped parks (with hiking trails, fishing, multiple relaxation activities & children's play area) and now offers 280 hectares of green spaces , true havens of peace and rest.
