« The property is 400 yrs old so expect things to be uneven. The current owners have only been there a few years so maybe they still have work to do. The bedrooms are described on the website as "stylish "....I would say plain. The bedding was clean, bathroom ok but it was difficult to get the shower to the right temperature...it was either boiling or cold. Room 5 had a frosted window but it was hot so we had it open. The room could do with a slight update....e.g. more plug sockets and a bigger...

« We had a wonderful stay and the staff were incredibly accommodating. They were so helpful in arranging an early check-in for us and even found a room where we could get ready before attending a wedding, which made the whole day much less stressful. Everyone was friendly, professional, and went above and beyond to help. The hotel was clean, comfortable, and in a great location. We really appreciated the excellent service and would happily stay here again. »

« Parking can be a problem if arriving later in the evening. Follow instructions given by owners. Breakfast is great staff friendly and helpful. Keep entry instructions handy as had a little trouble finding codes. Rooms 7 and 8 are not where you'd think ! »

« Very old decro room , was ok ,but not to my taste. Staff very friendly and overall good. It is a pub but it was not noisy in the night. Short drive to the town. I would prefer to walk to Ludlow but we could not find anything closer. »

« We received a very warm welcome from hosts Jackie and Rob and our stay was absolutely exceptional! Our room was clean, neat, well appointed, with a refreshments tray including lovely homemade cake and the folder containing menus and directions for the nearby pubs for meals was well thought out and presented. « The George is opposite the Severn Valley Railway Station, perfectly situated for us, as we had steam train tickets. The staff are very friendly and helpful. The room was clean and comfortable, but the hotel is on a busy road which was noisy early in the morning. The breakfast was very good, and portions are generous. We dined in The Gurkha restaurant one evening. The food was excellent. Overall, a pleasant stay and very good value. »
