For the person in charge of breakfast the task was completely over her head even there wasn't that many customers. The hotel's location was beautiful due to the backdrop of the trees and hills and on the river Severn. Internally the hotel is very traditional with old features, fixtures and fittings. Single glazed windows led to it being cold in some areas, especially our room and creaking floors. Meals and beers were good and staff very helpful and polite. We wouldn't stay again but that's not a reflection on the hotel, it is just us wanting to stay in other hotels in different locations. The staff were amazing, nothing was too much trouble. The food in the restaurant was very good and worth staying in for. The hotel garden backs onto a beautiful park and is a three minute walk to cafes and shops (some of these appear to be shut on Tuesdays, but there were enough open to make a trip worthwhile). If you have accessibility issues make sure you request a downstairs room as there are no lifts. The breakfast was lovely best full English we have had in a long time.
