"All the staff were professional and great to deal with. Food was amazing - we especially enjoyed the Italian restaurant. Drinks were very good and all the bartenders were quick and knowledgeable. We had a small wedding there and they did a great job on everything, including a wonderful ceremony with perfect weather on the beach. Thanks to Diana, Diego, the DJ, and everyone else who was involved! Our flight was delayed a few hours and they allowed us to check out of our rooms but keep our bracelets for some food and drinks while we waited on our rescheduled transportation to the airport. There were a few small children in our group so this was very appreciated as they would have had trouble sitting at the airport for 6+ hours if we had to leave right away."

"The room was clean, quiet & the ocean view made our stay extra special. The only downside was the mattress; it was very uncomfortable. The staff were amazing across the resort, from service staff to restaurant servers. My husband and I are vegan, and there were usually some options (even at the Vela buffet). One note for vegans; all breads at the buffet contained milk. We asked for dairy-free bread & they kindly baked some for us every morning. Big shout-out to the team at Vela; chef Marcos Nazario, Norma, Esmeralda, Rosario, Pedro, and everyone else who made sure we were well taken care of. We also tried the Italian, Mexican & Asian restaurants & all had vegan options (the Mexican & Asian even had vegan menus). One disappointment was that we’d read in earlier reviews that there was a vegan food truck by the pools, but it wasn’t there during our trip. A suggestion for the buffet would be listing full ingredients under each label; we often had to guess what items contained. The beach was amazing and we spent most of our time there. The beach staff were excellent, regularly taking drink orders and setting up umbrellas as the sun came out. There are two pools, including an adults-only pool, but they didn’t feel very clean to us, and the music was often very loud, so we didn’t spend much time there. Overall, I’d rank the resort a 4-4.5, but because we had a great trip, I gave it a 5."

"Did the all inclusive with my husband and adults kids. I’m a pretty picky eater and found the food to be especially good. Tomatillos and the sports bar had great food. The pool food and bar service was also excellent. The pizza at the pool was great. There was still some construction noise from the Bella California renovations but I was not bothered by it. Housekeeping was excellent. I wish there was another option for breakfast than the buffet. It would have been nice to have a grab and go for breakfast. "
