Great place to stay with stunning views. Private and quiet and very comfortable. We had a thunderstorm sweep through on our first night and the scene from our huge windows was brilliant.
A beautiful historic cottage with amazing views. All the modern comforts while retaining a quaint historic charm. Huge floor to ceiling windows that take advantage of the beautiful view from every room. Easy check in, good communication from the host, highly recommend.
My mother and I stayed here for a couple of nights and it was a blissful experience. So perfectly positioned close to villages and bush walks and the views from the house are breathtaking. Lots of homely touches at the historic cottage. David was an incredibly kind and responsive host and there were lost
What such a beautiful hidden gem. Had such a amazing time with absolutely stunning views to Westernport Bay. Watching the wedge tail eagles, the horses the beautiful night skies. The spa was so relaxing as well. Very clean as well. We will definitely going back there
Magnificent view over horses in the front paddock, reservoir & Port Phillip Bay in the distance, through picture windows that extend the entire house, even in the bathroom that has a two person spa. Loved the central gas heating and the sound of the Puffing Billy echoing down the valley. Location is central to the Dandenong Ranges, so it is easy to drive through magical fern-filled forests to wonderful little villages with great cafes, coffee, food & interesting shops.
We are local but needed accom while our home was repaired. But I felt like I was on a real holiday. While the rest of the family went to work or school I just enjoyed the peace and the scenery. Am so going to recommend to visiting relatives and friends!
Such a beautiful and calming property. Was exactly what I needed! The view from the property was like no other and David was lovely. Will definitely be coming back!!

This property is amazing. It has everything you will need and more. Peaceful and relaxing. Cosy and warm. The views are amazing, day and night. Highly recommended.
Lovely get away with all that's needed at your fingertips.
The surroundings of the property make for the most tranquil and relaxing stay. The home has the best views, a well equipped kitchen, spacious rooms and great heating. Apart from some digital tv interference which made watching the footy hard there is nothing to complain about. Highly recommend for a get away retreat.
We stayed at Tudor Ridge for a week and were sorry to leave. We had a wonderful holiday in the Dandenongs and David's cottage was a pleasure to come home to every day. It has such character and the view is just delightful. We could have gazed at it all day. Hope to be back one day. Janet & Alan, Perth.
The house was beautiful with a great ambience and phenomenal view. It was well set up to cook our own food, and have cozy evenings of relaxing. Having Johns Hill just down the road for dog walks was great. I enjoyed having a cup of tea in the sitting room, switching between appreciating the view and reading the provided local history books. I wish I could have stayed longer!
We thoroughly enjoyed our stay in Kallista and the gorgeous views. Our dog was obsessed with watching the horses out the window and sniffing around the grounds. The cottage is very cute, cosy and with 3 sources of heating it was perfect during the very miserable weather we had. The bed was comfortable, the double shower and spa made it feel like a real treat. We could have used a bit more firewood (which was supplied when we asked) and kindling (realised this was needed a bit too late) for the second night. Would recommend this place!

Beautiful heritage cottage with stunning views from picture windows and furnished true to the era with very comfortable beds & furnishings. Unfortunately, the second bathroom was not clean, with dirty floor, basin & cobwebs spoiling the overall positive impression of the home. Clients of average height will struggle to reach bath towels on lovely train racks which are attached very high on the wall in both bathrooms! However, overall it was a lovely place to stay, with the added advantage of being dog friendly.
Adorable cottage.Beautiful surroundings.Great communication from David the owner and easy access to property. Hassle free holiday. We hope to return one day.
