Very lovely location that is ruined by the hotel business model. Had to download an app to even get checked in, only to have our reservation cancelled as soon as my partner uploaded their ID. Mind you, this happened as we were arriving at the hotel, and my partner had already been charged for a three day stay. We had requested assistance at the front desk, but the staff were practically helpless. I had to rebook since my partner was denied, and we continued to have problems with the app. It took almost 2 hours to finally get our room code.
Keep in mind I’m in my early twenties, and I was struggling with this app. It just kept sending me in an endless loop of confirming my identity. I couldn’t imagine how difficult it might be for someone who is older or less comfortable navigating a smartphone— especially when the app doesn’t work and the staff can’t/won’t assist. While we were stuck on the app, an older gentleman showed up hoping to check in after a long flight, but after struggling like we were, he just gave up and walked out.
On our last evening, we hoped to get more towels from the front desk, but had to, instead, submit the request via the app. The agent on the app said they would try to bring up towels, but couldn’t guarantee we’d get them before checkout the following day.
Otherwise, the hotel is located in a great area for shopping and food. However, I still wouldn’t recommend this spot to anyone.
