Book early to find a place elsewhere Not the greatest place to stay at in Kyoto. - The closest rail station (Fushimi) is about a 15-20 minute walk. - The hotel room is dirty. We got non-smoking and they delivered on that (no smell). Off the main highway. Walls and floors very run down. Bed semi comfortable. Very clearly a 'lovers hotel' as the cab driver informed us. Around 30mins by cab. 45 by train to the imperial palace. 20mins to Manga museum. 25 mins to Toji temple. Amazing staff with great English. Very hospitable.
