"Rooms were kept in the best shape with all the modern conveniences you could ask for. Showers had great water pressure! Morning breakfast was wonderful with good variety of both Japanese and Western tastes. Staff were very professional and helpful. They helped when we didn't speak the best of Japanese when we stumbled over our pronunciation. There was a good mix of travelers passing through from all over. The train museum is just steps from the hotel, there's a Family Mart on the first floor and JR Train station also just steps away. It was 1 stop from Kyoto station so there is no reason to stay anywhere else with such a convenient location. "

"The staff were extremely helpful and courteous as soon as you walk in. The hotel is so nice and clean aside from some dust collected on top the sink area. I am happy to report I did not see any bed bugs/bed bug spots when checking the mattress and everything was very clean. The restaurant in the hotel was great and had delicious food, the staff helping here was also extremely Nice and courteous making for an even more pleasant stay. The hotel is very close to a subway stop as well. I will be more than happy to recommend this location and if I am ever in Kyoto again will definitely look to stay here."

"Completely blown away by this hotel! Friendly and attentive staff, numerous amenities and felt like an authentic Japanese experience from the moment you walk in the door. Everybody must take their shoes off at the entrance and place them in easy to use lockers. The rooms had nice Japanese touches, loungewear, amenities, water and a treat in the fridge. Access to the onsen baths was available for no cost, with a wide variety of different baths (separated by gender, no clothing), massage chairs available, free ice cream and probiotic drinks daily, free nightly soba noodles, and also coffee, tea and water available in lobby. The staff set out umbrellas for use when it was raining. They have thought of everything. Couldnt believe how great this hotel was and at such a low cost. It was also centrally located with easy access to Kyoto station and on easy bus routes to nearby attractions. "

"Favourite hotel in Japan 10 minute walk from the bamboo Grove and five minute walk to the entrance of the monkey farm Secluded and a patio area to drink tea. We were even given umbrellas for the rain and they held luggage- BEST YET!"
