"The hotel is well situated in the downtown area of Kyoto, close to Nishiki market and plenty of shopping and food options. Our room was a nice size with a comfortable bed. The only complaint about the room was the lack of 100V outlets. I've stayed in many hotels in the country and know this is not always provided, so I'm not faulting the hotel too much for this. "The room was OK, small size but enough for what it's used. We didn't have any problems and the staff were helpful. The bed was too firm, as it tends to be the case in most places in Japan. For breakfast there wasn't any western option, it was all rice, noodles, meat, etc. I understand that this is how they eat breakfast in Japan and I don't mind eating some of it but given that hotels are for tourists, it would be good to have 1 or 2 cereal, a fruit salad and some pastries at least.
