The bed was extremely comfortable, and the bathroom was very nice. Best part was how private it was. The other rental on property was in a good spot to provide seclusion for each house and the check-in/check-out process was extremely smooth. « Great place to stay for the Polar Express! Close and in a really cute little town with a lot of shops and restaurants in walking distance. As it’s an aesthetic grandma-core dream, it’s not the most kid-friendly (beautiful art and lamps everywhere), but also totally doable. Stayed with two mom friends and our five kids and had a blast! »

« I took my kids snowboarding to wisp and stayed here. I've done this a bunch and stayed a lot of different houses in the deep Creek area, and I can say that this is definitely the best one we've stayed at. It's only about 10 minutes from wisp. It was immaculate when we came inside, and it literally had everything you needed. I forgot my toothbrush and they even had new toothbrushes in the bathroom. « The Black Bear Lodge is one of the best places to stay in Western Maryland, especially if you enjoy entertaining. It has a perfect layout with a big deck and a nice living room area. And then on the lower floor is a nice game room. There are HDTVs in every single guest room.And here is a great extra plus: the top floor master bedroom has its own bathroom and a small loft which can double as an office. If you need a little break from your guests, you can retreat up there and get some quiet time...
