We enjoyed the country setting and the spacious deck and appreciated that we were still close to things we wanted to do in the Cumberland area. Beds were comfortable and the entire place was clean and as shown in the photos from the listing. We did not make much use of the kitchen facilities, but the kitchen seemed to be well stocked. We really enjoyed our stay, it was a winter wonderland! The Cozy Cottage is in a convenient location, and is close to downtown Cumberland and the Western Maryland Scenic Railroad. It was very clean and had everything that we needed for our stay. We were very happy we could bring along our little dog. The view from the back deck is beautiful, and the beds are comfortable. It snowed while we were out for the day, and when we returned the driveway and walkway were shoveled. We really appreciated this! We highly recommend the Cozy Cottage, and would book again! Jun 5, 2025 Liked: Check-in, communication, listing accuracy We stayed at this pet-friendly property May 8-12 while visiting Western Maryland. The house is a couple of miles off of I-68 in a quiet rural area near Cumberland. The house was small but comfortable. The house sits very close to a road and you have to walk on the road to get to the front door since there is no sidewalk from the parking area. Cars on the road drive 30 mph so you have to be very careful when walking on it to get to the front door of the house. When we arrived the owner was having some repair work done on a retaining wall on the side of the house. There was a lot of construction equipment and a large pile of gravel in the parking area. We had to park in between it all. The area where we had to walk was also quite messy and dirty. The owner/host had it cleaned up after we called her and she said no more work would occur until we left. However a couple of days later the contractor came back and continued doing their work with concrete block, backhoe, and gravel, which was right next to where we had to park our car. I asked him to wait until we left and he agreed. He apologized and said he wasn't aware anyone was staying in the house. When we checked out we vacuumed all of the carpets, placed the linens and towels in the hampers, cleaned the dishes, took out the trash per the check-out instructions, and left the house very clean. Jul 24, 2025 Liked: Cleanliness, check-in, communication, location, listing accuracy #### Very nice place to stay We unfortunately had to come for family medical reasons, but the house was lovely and immaculate and had everything we needed.
