Comfortable resort hotel, with a lovely onsen (hot springs), 3 indoor & 1 outdoor pool, sauna etc! Lovely views. Peaceful location in the hills, golf course. Regular free shuttle bus from nearest station which is well connected to Sapporo & airport. All rooms are smoking so it smells a bit, but very clean. Buffet breakfast and dinner. Better for earlier risers as breakfast finishes at 9:30 and checkout is 10am... Take everything you need as it's in the middle of countryside so it's not easy to pop out unless you have your own car. Better book the full meals plan.

The staff at Otaru Retreat Kuramure really went above and beyond to ensure that we had a great stay and took care of our every need. The kaiseke dinners and breakfasts were truly impressive, what an experience! The property and overall experience were beyond my expectations!

The room was very spacious. Our room had a living space area with sofa and coffee table. The kitchenette had a microwave, kettle, induction stove, and fridge. Tableware, pots/pans, utensils and dish soap + sponge were included. The bathroom also had a washer. We liked that the sink, toilet, and bathing area were all separated.

The hotel should offer some kind of breakfast, continental or pastries, something?….. But overall, very convenient from the train station & food choices in the area….. :)
