Friendly and polite staff. But the rooms were very small. And the tea maker in the room was rusty. And the breakfast was of poor quality. For the few days we were there, every time we went for breakfast, the tables were dirty and tea and coffee were not ready and the breakfast was not of good quality.

staff were very friendly . we arrived at night Mr Berkant welcomed us and made check in easy and simple . Initially we booked a room for 3 people but turned out small for us so i went back to Berkant and helped me to move to one bedroom apt after 3 days with paying additional fees but I gotta say he was very helpful and professional .he helped even with other things in the city. In the breakfast the staff super nice and friendly especially Zeynep . Zeynep was always smiling and welcoming us. she would make sure we get everything we needed. Thank you Zeynep for everything. Even Ibrahim in the breakfast staff was professional and friendly. I have to mention also Umit who works at the front desk i had an argument with him first time i talked to him but next day he apologized and tried his best to help us . He even helped me to get the cheapest rate when i extended my staying after 10 days . Overall, I would recommend this hotel for everyone but keep in mind rooms are not that big . The area near the hotel is gorgeous and is close by to Istiklal street. At night is quite you can sleep with no problem . I would like to thank everyone there especially Zeynep , Berkant, Ibrahim, Umit and Baha. last day I got a free ride to the airport because I extended my staying after my initial booking for 10 nights.

The location is great but a little noisy. We had some problems with the shower and the room is a little small but overall for the price it’s very nice.

Good location
The hotel location is great. Galata tower is 1 minute away. We stayed for 6 nights, they let us wait for 5pm to check in because our room was not ready, the room service didn't clean everything in the room, actually, the missed one day we got back to the room and found the room as is. I recommend the hotel just because of its location

Perfect in every way.
Fantastic central location in the thick of things yet quiet inside the hotel. Super clean and friendly. Nice breakfast. We loved our stay here at the Merrodi Bagdatliyan Hotel so close to Galata Tower. 10/10

Beautifully designed hotel, easily accessible to everything. Located on a small, quiet in Galata. Very nice and simple place for a few nights in Istanbul. Hotel staff was extremely kind and attentive.

Manager Tried to Switch our Hotel without Consent
Instead of getting a room the room we paid for as pictured on Expedia, we were taken to another one of their “hotels” which looked like a crackhouse. It had broken windows and steps. It was very slippery and wet on the narrow, winding stairscase as if a pipe had burst. There was electrical wires hanging down from the third floor to the first floor, and there was moldy walls with paint peeling. I have 3 young children and they wanted us to stay in this hotel. I had to fight, argue and wait for over an hour to get something that resembled the rooms we paid for. The hotel also agreed to let us check in early and check out late under the condition that we booked the day we were enquiring about this trip which was on January 19, 2018. Then during our trip it’s like this conversation never took place and I had to spend a long time arguing and standing my ground as well as contact Expedia through FB messenger and on the phone.

The place was clean and secure. Location was great! Rooms were small, especially the lift was unbelievably small. I will keep this place in mind as my second alternative. Wifi was not working.

Bring your water with you
There was no water as a complimentary but It was written in the room details. When we asked for water(as complimentary or for a certain fee) to front desk clerk he told us "Did you come to our hotel for just water ?" After all it was clean and comfortable / with that price I would be my one of the first choices in Istanbul.

Great location, helpful staff, lovely stay
Had a very enjoyable stay in the Meroddi hotel. Was travelling alone, and Cihan at reception was incredibly helpful in suggesting places to see, planning my daily schedule, and even booking a reservation for me at a recommended nearby hamam (a highlight!) All of the staff was very friendly and proactive, which which much appreciated. My hotel room was on the first floor and more than generously sized for one person. I did hear some noise from above me on my final morning, but earplugs easily solved this issue. There were very few English-language TV channels, but there's no reason to be spending much time inside when there is so much to see nearby! The location of the hotel was perfect - I was easily able to walk to Sultanahmet Square and all the shopping on Istiklal Avenue is less than 5 minutes from the door. There are lots of great restaurants and cafes right around the corner as well. Breakfast buffet was excellent, and there are made-to-order traditional egg dishes available as well. Would absolutely stay here again on my next trip to Istanbul!

This hotel is in an excellent location - only a 2 minute walk from the Galata Tower and approximately 10 minutes from Taksim square. I felt really safe staying there and walking through the neighbourhood on my own. Hotel employees are extremely friendly and professional.

Nice hotel in cool neighborhood
We really enjoyed our stay at the hotel, just a fee blocks away from the Galata tower and trendy restaurants. The staff was very courteous, the room impecable and the breakfast amazing. We stayed in the lower level of the hotel, the only problem was that we could hear the steps from the room above during the night, but other than that we have no regrets or complaints. I do recommend this hotel!

Excellent location with very friendly and helpful
The location of the hotel was perfect as it was very close to the happening part of the town (for tourists) and also close to the old historical town. The staff have been extremely friendly and helped with booking shows and restaurants. Highly recommend the place for tourists.

Amazing Hotel with a great position. Beautifully designed - classy and clean. Lovely stuff, couldn't help you enough. My daughter got sick on the last night of our stay, so they let us to use the room until 1pm on the check out day. Very nice breakfast. We'll be back again!

Is a beautiful hotel with very nice interior and furniture. Very clean and modern but the only problem about the hotel is the bathroom shower area. The water get choked easily during shower. The person at the front desk is not very helpful with our luggages.

I really enjoyed the happiness of all the staff. Breakfast at the hotel was great. Lots of choices and different food and fruits. Delicious biscuits and cakes. I stayed there an entire week and I am going back with my family. I also got a nice gift at the end of my stay: a travel book guide as a hope to come back and enjoy the wonderful terrace at the 4th flour at Meroddi.

On était 2 personnes dans la chambre, on nous a fourni qu'une carte magnétique pour l'ouverture de la porte de la chambre, d'après le réceptionniste le système informatique ne leur permet pas d'attribuer plus qu'une carte par chambre. On était obligés soit de rentrer ensemble soit l'un de nous deux s'adresse à la réception pour qu'on l'accompagne et lui ouvrir la porte. Une serviette de toilette mal lavée. Une paire de lunettes solaires Rayban,laissée dans la chambre, n'a pas été retrouvée.
