Summer Fun @ River Breeze: Riverfront Access & View! Dog-Friendly, Fenced Yard!

"We had a wonderful stay! The location was great, especially having direct access to the river. The river depth was perfect for the children to play and enjoy, which was definitely one of the highlights of our stay. It would have been a nice added touch if floats or water toys were provided for guests to use.The host was very responsive and communicated quickly whenever we had questions or needed anything. It was very easy to reach out when needed.The home had all the essential things we needed for a comfortable stay, and we especially appreciated the thoughtful welcome basket. It was such a sweet and welcoming touch and made us feel right at home.We also appreciated that the home was pet-friendly, which is a great option for families traveling with pets. However, for those of us who don’t have pets and may be sensitive to them, there was a slight pet-related allergy reaction during our stay. An air purifier in the home would be a nice added touch to help filter the air and make the space more comfortable for guests with pet sensitivities.Overall, we really enjoyed our stay and would definitely consider coming back!"

Little Bird Cabin on the New River

"What an amazing property overall. The location is close to town while still feeling remote. The house itself met all of our needs and had great back porches for lounging on 2 levels. The path down to the river was easy to manage and the water itself was amazing for both swimming and fishing with absolutely one of the best fire pits down by the river. Truly one of the best cabins we we have stayed in in the 20 years of renting cabins in western NC....would readily re-rent...and I can't say that about many places we have stayed at over the years. Just a couple of caveats to consider, though not the owners fault, the neighbor across the water likes to target practice on his property....it's a free country, BUT be aware if you have pets or children it may be something to consider as the gun shots are loud. Second be careful with the oven...it has some issues and smoked so badly the first time we used it that it set off the fire alarms. Again both issues are minor ...but just some food for thought. All in all there were 8 of us and everyone agreed this was one of their favorite if not their very favorite overall cabin ever. RENT IT...you won't regret it!!"
Sweetwater Cottage - Private Cottage Tucked in the Woods - Hot Tub - River Access

"Sweetwater was just like the pictures presented. I loved the deep porch with corrugated metal roof. We had quite a bit of rain, and I loved the sound the rain made on it. My husband did take advantage of the hot tub and thoroughly enjoyed it. Poppy, our pup, felt comfortable after a couple of days. It is a perfect area to enjoy the trees, which are one of my passions."

"The cabin was spacious, very well built and very clean. Also was well stocked. The outside deck was great to hang out for coffee in the mornings and relaxing in the evenings. The parking was very tight and the river access trail was not close to the cabin and turned out to be a strenuous hike. But overall a very nice stay."
Unique West Jefferson Home w/ Fire Pit & Grill!

"Location was good, just outside of west Jefferson and close to the blue ridge parkway. House was clean, good hot water, bed was comfortable, well stocked for cooking, one portable air conditioner upstairs but it kept the place comfortable with temps in the ‘90’s outside. Decent yard for the dog to explore. Neighborhood seems nice, no loud parties close by. Would definitely consider staying again!"
