"I was placed in a smoking room. It was terrible. However, when checking my confirmation, I see that I erroneously booked a smoking room. Usually the first room listed on the website is non-smoking, and I didn't notice it. My fault. There was no shampoo provided and I didn't have any with me. Had to use bar soap to wash my hair. "The Emory House is one of my all-time favorite places that I have ever stayed! I think we would return to the area just so we could stay there again. Not only was it a lovely space but the host was incredibly hospitable and I love learning about the area and the historic elements in the space. I appreciate that they accommodated my gluten intolerance for breakfast and had dinner recommendations. I would highly recommend staying here!"

"It is a very convenient location. Across the street is the Grocery store with gasoline and the pizza/sandwich shop. Later, we did walk 250 yards to the brewery. Small parking area for a large p/u truck. Biggest drawback is that it is only 15 feet from the main road going through Damascus, which tends to be busy and noisy. And no front or back usable porch.."
