"Sylvia and Larry are amazing hosts. They're super friendly and are very helpful. It was quite the drive getting here since the road wasn't great but it was definitely worth it to be in a place that is so well curated for nature lovers. There's a private pond right next to the cabin with a hammock and some chairs to chill out on. A beautiful lawn for my dog to run around freely. Overall just a serene stay. Loved it!"

"House was clean, quiet, and as described on listing. Well stocked kitchen to be able to cook ourselves. We couldn’t get the hot water to work in master shower, and the pipes are reversed in the other bath. Beds were comfortable. Neighborhood is pretty old and run down, but the location was nice to be able to access coastal hikes, Crescent City, and many of the Redwood hikes."

"We absolutely loved this darling little cabin in the woods. It was so cozy and in a wonderful, peaceful location. Close to Jedidiah Smith Redwoods and Crescent city. Not too far from Prairie Creek Redwoods either, if you like exploring the coast and various trails. We can’t wait to come back to visit."

"Our family needed a place to stay before hitting the trails of the Redwood Forest and this place was perfect! It was very dog friendly for our furry family with a wonderful fenced in backyard. I love that there were plenty of blankets around the house for anyone who got cold, and there were plenty of towels for showers in the morning, very thoughtful! We also really enjoyed the wall map and the little notes that other attendees had left about places on the map, it was a very fun touch! Also, the cabin is very easy to access from 199, we had no trouble finding it (even after a VERY LONG day's drive). I highly recommend checking this place out if you want to stay close to the Redwood National Parks."

"This stay was our stopping point of a 2024 road trip. We wish we could have stayed longer because sitting on the back deck looking at the crystal clear Smith River was just wonderful. And being so close to the Redwood National Park was an added bonus. Marian and John were great hosts and gave us suggestions on some additional hikes close by. We would definitely recommend a stay here."
