"1500 characters isn’t enough to encapsulate how special this place is, and it’s all thanks to John and his wife. My wife and I stayed here to celebrate our wedding anniversary and immediately fell in love with the location and charm of the building. The downstairs is a perfect hangout spot for coffee in the morning and tea in the evening. The views of the harbor are STUNNING. The location is an easy, picturesque 10 minute walk to everything in Gloucester and walkable to the commuter train as well. Now talk about attention to detail — John has thought of everything. We came here looking for a nice time to unwind and relax and we got all of that and so much more. Homemade cookies on the first floor. Herbal tea in the evening. Beautifully landscaped and clean accommodations. It’s clearly had years of careful thought put into it. All that said, if you travel like us and enjoy the human experience, John is an absolute treasure. We stayed up talking in the tea room for hours and hours. Apart from the life stories exchanged, he gave us a wonderful recommendation for a dinner spot that was absolutely perfect for live music and a younger crowd; he pays attention to each of his guests and is genuinely invested. Stay here and you’ll feel not only like part of the local community, but like family. 10/10 - can’t possibly rate higher"

"The location is excellent in Gloucester MA. The proprietor is amazing. Very helpful and a great source of recommendations and conversation. She was very flexible and worked hard to meet our every need. The room was clean and had interesting books in case you had any spare time. I would highly recommend this property."

"I couldn't have enjoyed my stay more! The space is absolutely beautiful - bright, sunny, spotless, and so thoughtfully and artistically decorated. I felt welcomed from the moment I arrived. The snacks and refreshments were such a lovely touch, and the communication throughout the stay was clear and easy.It is well located a 10-15 minute walk from the shoreline and center of Gloucester and an easy Lyft or Uber ride. Its an easy train ride from Boston and a 10 minute walk once off the train.The surroundings are beautiful, and the space itself was incredibly comfortable. It had everything I needed from washer dryer, to well appointed kitchen and the bed was woderful, the sheets and linens were high quality (something I notice and appreciate!) I felt I had everything I needed to feel at home. It was the perfect place to stay for my weeklong yoga teacher training. I would happlily stay there again!"

"Our stay at the house was very enjoyable. The place was spacious and stocked with all of the necessities that a vacationing family could ask for, in addition to games, beach chairs, etc. The property was very clean and the views were incredible! There are neighbors on the second floor, but we never heard them at all. We did, however, meet them, and they were pleasant and helpful. Would definitely recommend this rental for its close proximity to the beach as well as being right in the heart of downtown."

"We enjoyed our stay. Check-in was very smooth and the host (Kelly) was readily available to answer our questions throughout the stay. The house is expansive, the living room is comfy and the outdoor table under the pergola is serene. The outdoor gas grill was great for barbecuing. We would recommend this place for anyone looking for a welcoming stay in Gloucester."

"We are three generations celebrating a family reunion. The space was comfortable for 9 adults and 3 children. Necessities were available nearby and the property was well situated with a harbor view and within walking distance to the promenade, park and beach. 5 bedrooms provided everyone with privacy and the provided portacribs, high chair and rocking chair made our visit so much easier. The large table for meals and comfortable living room area made gathering easy. All in all, a lovely property and a wonderful long weekend. We would definitely stay there again."
