Welcome to Cast and Tackle Studio at LostFork Basecamp, a peaceful retreat tucked beneath the pines at the base of Guanella Pass.  
Thoughtfully designed for couples or solo travelers, this cozy studio blends rustic charm with modern comfort. Inside, you’ll find a plush full murphy bed, soft natural light, and an open layout with calming tones that echo the beauty just outside your door.  
The kitchenette is perfect for light meals; it includes a mini fridge, microwave, and hot plate. The small dining nook offers an inviting space to enjoy breakfast, play cards, or map out your next mountain adventure. The sleek bathroom features warm tile, a glass-enclosed shower, and a minimalist design that feels both fresh and serene.  
Step out onto your private covered patio and slip into your own personal hot tub, where crisp alpine air, quiet forest views, and a sky full of stars create the perfect end to any day.  
Guests also have access to LostFork’s on-site community center, which includes indoor showers, a sauna, a cold plunge, and community fire pit—everything you need to refresh, reset, and feel right at home in the mountains.

From Denver: Grant is just a scenic 50-mile drive southwest of Denver along US Highway 285. The drive offers stunning views of the Front Range, making the journey part of the adventure.  
From Georgetown: Take Guanella Pass, just 23 miles north of Grant, to reach the historic town of Georgetown, perfect for exploring or grabbing a bite to eat.  
Nearby Access Points:  
Kenosha Pass is only 6 miles west, offering additional hiking trails and breathtaking views of the surrounding mountains.  
Public Transportation: While Grant is more remote, there are limited public transit options to reach the area. Renting a car or driving is the most efficient way to enjoy the area and explore the nearby hiking and fishing locations.  
On Foot & By Bike: Once you're at LostFork Basecamp, you'll have access to countless hiking and biking trails directly from the property. The nearby Geneva Creek Trail and Abyss Lake Trail provide fantastic opportunities to explore the natural beauty of the area on foot or by bike.  
Note on Roads: The Guanella Pass Scenic Byway, a 22-mile route, provides breathtaking views as it ascends to over 11,600 feet. During winter months, the pass may be closed due to snow, so be sure to check road conditions before venturing up.  
Airports:  
Denver International Airport (DEN): Approximately 60 miles northeast of Grant, ideal for those flying into the area.

Other Things to Note:  
The Community Center also includes men’s and women’s restrooms, each equipped with two showers and two toilets for added convenience.  
  
Each cabin features a kitchenette, ideal for simple meal prep, but not intended for large or complex meals.  
  
The cabins are located right next to a creek, offering beautiful views and the soothing sounds of nature. However, if you’re traveling with small children, please ensure they are supervised at all times when outdoors due to the proximity to the water. If this setup raises any concerns, we recommend considering this carefully before booking.  
  
Interaction with Guests:  
This property is professionally managed, with a dedicated team available daily from 8 a.m. to 11 p.m. to assist with anything you need during your stay.
