"We were never able to check in. We arrived at the motel at 6:30pm. No one was available to check us in. There was a sign posted outside the office saying that check in was only from 3 to 4pm. We lost the money we had paid for the room, and had to find another hotel to stay in. A drug addict who was staying in one of the rooms was wandering around in the parking lot. He scared my wife."

"We love the River Hotel and stay there whenever we are in Chicago. There were two issues this time which were surprising given how perfect they usually are: the tv didn’t seem to work and we were given a double bed instead of a queen. The hotel was extremely busy so we didn’t try to change rooms. Next time we’ll check amenities right away."
