Wonderful hotel with all of the amenities of a 5 star for a 3 star price. Unbelievable sea view from room, comprehensive breakfast buffet, amazing pool and surroundings and on a nice beach. Highly recommend this hotel.
We really enjoyed the minimalist chic quality of this hotel. The downfall is that it's high up on the hill and you have to rely on the once-an-hour shuttle to ferry you back and forth(and the shuttle only starts at 10am and finishes at 8pm so very limited). Otherwise, you have to be prepared to walk the steep hill(takes about 20 mins down, and 30 mins up) or shell out 6-7 Euros for a taxi. A few other negatives before I get to the good stuff - check in at the hotel was VERY slow - even for a Silver Hilton Honours member; reception staff always seemed to be on the phone. And I found a glass shard in the pool. Good stuff though - the Infinity pool - while expensive, we had a lovely 1/2 day there with champagne and fresh fruit poolside. The ground level pool is nice too and is totally free! The room had some quirks to it(toilet is NOT soundproofed and you feel a bit exposed as it's a sliding door shared with the shower) but you get used to it. Nice big bed, comfy pillows. Nice terrace off our room; mini fridge to keep water cold.
Asked for upgrade to newly refurbished room at check- in. At only €16 per night it was well worth it ! Very comfortable beds and clean room. Effective air conditioning in room. Amazing views of beach and rooftop pool on the other building ! Reception staff friendly and polite.
Dining room rather tired and parts of
public areas dated. Breakfast was nothing special although it did have the usual full range available.
The pool area was lovely and getting finishing touches of it's refurbishment which looked very nice from our balcony. We only tried the pool area once but it was particularly windy so gave up early !
I think that if the refurbishment continues throughout the hotel it will be fabulous !!!!!
Enjoyed our stay here. Take care when selecting your room. If you want to face the beach, you need to clarify this. Our room was to the side of the building and we only had a glimpse of the beach. The room was priced accordingly. Still very pleased with the accommodation.
Had a great holiday here, staff were great apart from one who no matter what you asked for it never got done, cleaners do the vey basics, breakfast bar was covered in something sticky when we first went in so i had 2 clean it,shower glass was manky, sink & toilet pan got a kwik wipe, balconies never got touched
We found the hotel just as we had expected (it was recommended to us) and the staff very charming and helpful. It was also very reasonably priced and, although right in the centre of everything and close to the beach, very quiet. We will definitely go back.
Fuengirola boasts eight kilometres of sandy beaches, flanked by high-rise hotels. Although heavily developed, it retains some local identity and glimpses of its historic past. The old port features traditional fishing boats, while the new marina has sleek yachts. A water park, zoo and water sports are the principal diversions while the weekly flea market is the largest and liveliest on the coast. For a glimpse of yesteryear visit neighbouring Boliche.
