"Cozy super old fashioned little motel with a lock and key. Actually loved it here, perfect area and close to everywhere I planned to hike. Definitely would stay here again. Super affordable and the dude at the front desk was super cool"

"This was a terrific hotel. The bed was super comfortable, And the linens were soft. The bathroom was clean with plenty of good quality fluffy white towels + fabulous smelling soap. The room & the bathroom were tastefully decorated, and the selection of bedside reading was delightful. It was quiet and comfortable and absolutely perfect after a long day of driving and before an even longer day of hiking the next day. I recommend Gale River House without hesitation."

Everything was thoughtfully maintained, and it was clear that Carla takes great pride in providing a wonderful experience for her guests.Our group had a fantastic time, and the property was the perfect place for us to stay. "We go to Franconia once a year for a rugby tournament and this house is perfect for our needs. There are about six or seven and occasion we will have some people come in for food and since they put in the gas grill with the enclosed Thruway, it’s great if the weather is not Cooperating, you can still eat outside. About the only thing I would change is you can always use a bigger TV."
