10/10 Excellent
"We had a wonderful two-night stay at Tanager Rainforest Lodge. The peaceful rainforest setting made it the perfect place to relax and enjoy nature. The Garden View Cottage was clean, comfortable, and well maintained, and the entire property was beautiful. The staff were warm, friendly, and attentive, always making sure we had everything we needed. The food was delicious, and every meal was fresh and satisfying. We especially appreciated the quiet atmosphere, the natural beauty surrounding the lodge, and the excellent hospitality. Thank you to everyone at Tanager Rainforest Lodge for making our stay so enjoyable. We highly recommend this lodge to anyone looking for a peaceful getaway and would be happy to return in the future."

Stay, relax and explore in Sunrise, our tropical oasis by the Caribbean Sea.

10/10 Excellent
"Very lovely spot in a very lovely town! It was easy to find & super comfortable. I had a great time sitting out on the veranda and bird watching in the gorgeous trees and palm on the property. There are great spots to eat nearby (tbh PG is a small enough town that everything is ‘nearby’, even more so when you borrow a bike to get around) and the breakfasts were delicious! Kudos to Florette for her cooking skills and help with everything !"

Frequently asked questions

What is the best area to stay in Eldridgeville?
The best area to stay in Eldridgeville is the main village centre, particularly along the coastal stretch near the Eldridgeville Pier. This area is the heart of the community and where most of the guesthouses, local eateries, and shops are located. It's a compact and walkable area, with the main road, Coastal Drive, running parallel to the sea. You'll find direct access to the beach and views of the Caribbean Sea from many accommodations.Couples often find this area ideal for a relaxing getaway. Its proximity to the pier makes it convenient for booking boat trips to nearby cayes for snorkelling or diving. The local restaurants offer fresh seafood and a chance to experience the local culture in a laid-back setting. For travellers looking for a more secluded experience, the properties just outside the main village, heading south along Coastal Drive, offer a quieter alternative. These tend to be larger, more private resorts with direct beach access and often feature amenities like private pools and on-site dining.
When is the best time to go to Eldridgeville?
The best time to go to Eldridgeville is during the dry season, which typically runs from November to May.During these months, you can expect plenty of sunshine and lower humidity, making it ideal for exploring the region's natural attractions. The rivers are generally calmer, which is superb for canoeing or tubing, and the trails through the jungle are less muddy, making hikes more enjoyable. This period also sees less rainfall, meaning fewer disruptions to outdoor activities.Couples looking for a relaxing and adventurous getaway will find this time particularly appealing. The pleasant weather allows for comfortable exploration of Maya ruins like Nim Li Punit or Lubaantun, and provides superb conditions for birdwatching or discovering waterfalls without the higher chance of rain. While the dry season is popular, those looking for a slightly quieter experience might consider the shoulder months of November or May.
