"Great location, excellent customer service"
Couldn't be better situated to explore Edinburgh. The hotel lobby is beautiful. The roof top bar views amazing. The staff are all (no matter who you come across) friendly, welcoming and helpful and seem to genuinely want you to enjoy your stay and the City. Room was spacious and clean. No AC so was warm and the fan provided in the room stopped working after a few minutes. Considering this is George St on a Saturday night, noise from the street was minimal as we faced a side street. I would definitely recommend and would absolutely stay here again.

Parkhead House

Abercorn Road, South Queensferry - Map
"Exceptional place to stay!"
Parkhead House is a beautiful home on a picturesque estate. We could see a herd of fallow deer from our bedroom window. We took long beautiful walks, taking in a beautiful view of the Firth of Forth and having a very interesting exploration of Abercorn Church. Our host was very friendly and helpful - driving us in to South Queensferry for shopping and supper and picking us up when finished. James even took us to the airport when it was time to leave. The house and room itself was beautifully furnished and well supplied with absolutely anything you would ever need. It was a twenty minute trip to the airport so very conveniently located. We loved our stay and wish it had been for longer. We will definitely be back if we travel to Edinburgh again.

Great location for the festival but overpriced hotel as the rooms are very tired with stained carpets, broken handles and faulty fittings.

Fountain Court Apartments - EQ2

EQ2, 1 Lower Gilmore Bank, Edinburgh - Map
"Pleasant, ideal and good location"
Forecourt apartment was really good. Bed was really comfortable, decor was pleasing. It was clean although closer detail to finer cleaning, like skirting, tiling back splas in kitchen. It was not disgusting more like at home before a good spring clean. Washing up liquid, dishwater tablet, cloth and sponge were all very handy and all that was needed for a few days stay. A plus was the private parking (charged at £10 a day) . Wi Fi was available and TV was good quality, a smaller one in each bedroom. The location was good, did not take long to walk to the main area of Edinburgh. It was a really nice stay and I would recommend this apartment and would definitely come back.

G&V Royal Mile Hotel Edinburgh

1 George IV Bridge, Edinburgh - Map
"Good location for all amenities"
Full marks to the very welcoming Reception staff. Very obliging and accommodating. Concierge parking faultless. Breakfast was overcooked and rather disappointing but this was quickly dealt with, again by Reception, to which no charge was made. Would certainly use the G&V again.

The Balmoral Hotel - Edinburgh Hotels

The Balmoral Hotel

1 Princes Street, Edinburgh - Map
"Special Family Event - Memories for a life time. "
My mother turned 80 and we wanted to celebrate in style. At the same time, my cousin was playing in the Women's Lacrosse World Cup in Edinburgh, so we all set off to cheer her on. I wanted someplace really special for my mom, since it was her 80th, and I was also traveling with my 10 year old son, so we had a wide range of ages to satisfy. The Balmoral was excellent in every single aspect. The location is perfect. We could all go out and sight see, and if my mother or son got tired, we could quickly return for a quick "pick- me up" or rest, while the rest of us carried on. The restaurants and bars catered to the guests, and were small an intimate. We seemed to end up in one each day and we were all extremely happy with the food. The pool was perfect for my 10 year old son, as well as my mom, who would spend each night there. The hotel is peaceful and elegant without being stuffy. The bathrooms were world class. I wanted a "special" place and the Balmoral fulfilled it 100% I would return in a heartbeat. I am already thinking of when I can return next year.
