"The positives: Check-in was fairly easy, the AC worked well, and the location is convenient for the bus line and bus station. The vegan restaurant downstairs was surprisingly good and has a nice garden area. There were also plenty of towels, and the sheets and pillowcases were clean and nicely ironed. The windows did a good job reducing some of the outside noise. The negatives: There were some cleanliness and hotel-standard issues. There was mold in the shower and the headboard was not clean. The comforter was not in a duvet cover when I arrived, so I had to put it on myself, and I was unsure about its cleanliness. There was only a rubbish bin in the bathroom, with none in the main room, and no tea or coffee available. The drinkware was also quite mismatched. The property is next to a busy road and boats can be very loud, while the walls between rooms are extremely thin. I could hear neighbours coughing and using the bathroom very clearly. The key-entry system also feels a little outdated. The rooms are more apartment-style, so daily cleaning is not provided. Having to walk through the restaurant to reach the rooms is unusual but manageable. Overall, there are some good aspects, but a few relatively simple improvements would make the stay much more comfortable."

"The hotel is in a great location with beautiful views across the bay. The decor and quality of the rooms are very nice but starting to look a bit tired in places. The one downside is that the hotel was hosting the world cigar championship and the staff were too busy looking after the people attending that event to properly provide a good enough service to other hotel guests. It proved difficult getting any quality of service throughout the bars and restaurants during our stay."
